Prescription cortisone for adrenal fatigue?
I'd really appreciate some feedback on this. Diagnosed with adrenal fatigue by Hertoghe doctor in Belgium in 2011 (using 24 h urine analysis). Put on 4 mg of Medrol and told I could raise to 6 or even 8 mg daily if needed; apparently, 8 mg daily is the equivalent of 40 mg of bioidentical hydrocortisone

The effect of cortisone on height
Hello everyone, my question this time is related to the consequences on the development in height and in the physical structure of young children which had to take cortisone before puberty. As you will remember my son has Mpa that hit the kidneys in 2017 when he was 11 years old. Today he is 13 years

Who knows?
Who knows and how can you tell, without goi g to an endocrinologist, if your adrenals are working again..I know it can take up to a year after your at a low enough dose of pred...and sometimes they won’t start up again....found this interesting.. “Adrenal responsiveness. The longer high dose steroids

CORTISONE INJECTIONS
First up ... Merry Christmas everyone. Please stay safe on the roads. Just wondering what the success rate is for those of you that have experienced cortisone injections. I had my first 6 wks ago (for the shoulder), and miraculously the following morning my pain had decreased by 80-90%. Lasting only

Skin Itch
I have a skin itch on my chest, which comes and goes, but is bad enough at the present time to affect sleeping. No creams or treatments such as cortisone seem to do any good. It seems as though the problem is sub-cutaneous as there is no rash unless I scratch it. I have had PD four years and taken

Pain in feet
I have been having this awful pain in my foot and limping around a lot. Have seen a foot dr. and she has done many xrays and 2 examinations. The dr. is stumped. No fracture nothing else to warrant this kind of pain. Now they want an MRI to be done. I mentioned that I was thinking it was PMR attacking

Pain management
My husband has a lot of pain in his neck, and limited mobility. Some of that is due to PSP (he is in his 6th year), some of it due to arthritis. Has anyone had any experience with injections for pain management-- such as cortisone type? Sedation is involved. Also recommended if these injections don't

Treating Shoulder Pain, a gift of PMR
I never had shoulder pain until PMR. My PMR started in my right shoulder but THAT pain and stiffness went away very quickly. Then when I went back to my pre PMR exercises I realized that something was different in my shoulder. (well that was true for most of my body, felt like a loosely knit skeleton

PMR or ARTHRITIS
I am a 53-year-old female. I started with stiffness in the hips and shoulders/upper arms in October 2017. With an ESR of 36 and CRP of 23.8 the doctor thought it could be PMR and started me on 20 mg of prednisone. It did not provide immediate relief but after about a week it helped. I was referred to
