Support for Ischemic Colitis
My 84 year old Mum has been diagnosed with IC but is finding a distinct lack of support from the medical profession. Does anyone know if there's any support agencies or charities for this condition please?

How does the large intestine play a roll in B12 absorbtion?
I had suffered from ulcerative
colitis
for almost 8 years before finally having my large intestine removed. I now have a reconstructed colon with a J Pouch. A friend directed me to this forum to see if some of my lack of energy may be a b12 deficiency. Anyone else here with the same procedure as I?

A Plea: regarding comments to young members posting they fear they have colorectal (bowel) cancer.
Many people who post here that are sure they have colorectal cancer end up being diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Disease (not the same as Irritable Bowel Syndrome),
Colitis
, Crohn's Disease, or other digestive disorders.

No Prednisone
Another problem is with Wha I believe ( no doctor yet) is Lymphatic
Colitis
. The problem started in August, 6 months after stopping Prednisone. In doing my research I did find a connection to PMR. I had a lot of swelling before the diagnosis of PMR, Had swollen feet and hands and legs.

Ulcerative colitis/oral thrush
Hi every one. I have uc which I’m controlling really welll. I’m getting oral thrush. It’s so bad today that my tongue is twice it’s size and extremely sore. I’ve a burning sensation in my throat and it feels slightly inflamed. I’m pitching up some oral dactorin which seems to work better than the nystatin

Vaccine query
I am also concerned I might have more general lymphoedema as my tonsils were very large until I was in my early 20s, I have lymphatic
colitis
and when I was born I was checked for congenital adrenal hyperplasia and I'm now wondering whether that was genital oedema.

I had taken prednisolone years ago when I was 30 to 42 in varying doses for ulcerative
colitis
. No doubt as a result I now have osteoporosis, as well as arthritis which is mostly in my hands, wrists and feet.

Ulcerative Colitis
I am a long term sufferer of Ulcerative
Colitis
usually experiencing flare ups at times when I have become very stressed. These can often last for months before they subside and true to form over the last 5 weeks I have experienced another flare up in part I suspect due to the pandemic.

Help and advice please.
My daughter was diagnosed with ulcerative

last year. We have only recently realised how serious this could be as we were given no advice or information at all.

Ambiguous (Digestive) Symptoms
I've WebMD'd myself into oblivion, diagnosing myself with everything from cystic fibrosis (because I wake up with mucus and post-nasal drip and think that it's now affecting my stools) to ulcerative
colitis
, to worse. I'm aware that I need to be on an anxiety forum, too.
