Ulcerative colitis/oral thrush

Hi every one.

I have uc which I’m controlling really welll.

I’m getting oral thrush.

It’s so bad today that my tongue is twice it’s size and extremely sore.

I’ve a burning sensation in my throat and it feels slightly inflamed.

I’m pitching up some oral dactorin which seems to work better than the nystatin.

I’m on some pretty heavy duty drugs.

So o don’t know if it’s uc or the tablets.

Has any one else had this and what did you take for the thrush

Hello,

I have microscopic colitis and candida esophagus. It causes me to have thrush in my mouth and throat. Currently, I am on a 14 day prescription of fluconazole to help with it. However, I have it down my esophagus and it has appeared there with endoscopy done in April and December.

I feel your pain about the tongue and discomfort.

I am working to get both under control right now, because of a flare. I hope this helps a little.
