Microscopic Colitis
I thought I have had IBS-D for years, and I just got a different diagnosis which is Lymphocytic Microscopic
Colitis
with Gastritis. I don’t know if that is good, bad, or about the same thing. I appreciate the doctor finally getting to this diagnosis, but not very much information was given to me.

Buscopan and it's effectiveness
Have u had a colonoscopy to rule out the obvious! I find buscopan has little effect. Pain like that sounds like trapped gas. Perhaps check your diet. Good luck

Problems with Mesalazine
Hello. I was diagnosed with UC 5 years ago and put on 4000mg a day and 3 suppositories a week. I don’t feel well with water retention and ITI’s. My calprotectin test is 8. Could Pentasa cause my symptoms?

Strange how I've been OK all these years, but after being diagnosed with Ulcerative
colitis
it's not been right? Should I be worried about the result? Thanks

GP suspects Endo.
I also have Ulcerative
colitis
, so I can't take anti-inflamatorys. 3 kids at home too, so I can't be drugged up to the eyeballs on a daily basis. Should I consider asking for a private consultation with a specialist? Thank you for reading.

Hard lumps above belly button
I have been having all sorts of upper gastric issues the last few months since a hospital admission for ulcerative
colitis
. The pain, gurgling/bubbling and discomfort is exactly where I think my actual stomach would be.

Good news & bad news
It can help with my ulcerative
colitis
as in inflammatory problems all over the body. It does suppress histamine also it may possibly help with my tinnitus.the reason I take melatonin is actually to help me get back in to a sleep pattern.

How long did your IBD diagnosis take? Worried about untreated inflammation.
She was very thorough and told me that it sounds like IBD, but that due to the lower bowel looking clear and biopsies being normal, it's pretty much ruled out UC and microscopic
colitis
. So she's thinking crohn's.

Hi all
I have a question though , as back in 2019 I was diagnosed with this IBD ( ulcerative
colitis
) and doing some research , plus I did mention on here as well about it , that it can flare up down to nicotine withdrawal ! So , just seeing if there’s been anyone who has had similar issues ?

So Tired
I also have Ulcerative
colitis
so that contributes. But the fatigue is debilitating. I just sit the rest of the day. Everyday I try to use a recumbent bike. I rarely can do more that a few minutes at a time. Does this sound like your experiences,

Diets rich in proteins, pathologies with excessive protein fermentation, as in the case of irritable bowel and ulcerative
colitis
lead to an increase in the production of ammonia [59]. High levels of ammonia indicate poor hepatic and renal function.

Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT), Is It A Nearer Term Future Treatment For People Living With Parkinson's Disease?
Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) is a "relatively new" treatment that is already being used effectively for specific health issues such as IBS, Crohn's Disease, Clostridium Difficile, Ulcerative
Colitis
, Obesity and Autism.

Carboxy Methyl Cellulose / E466 / Cellulose gum. Comments?
cellulose has been found to cause inflammation of the gut, altering microbiota, and was found to be a triggering factor of inflammatory bowel diseases" I followed this up using one of the references supplied (no 14) and learned that in animal studies it produces inflammation similar to ulcerative

Ulcerative colitis flares
Just asking a question regarding my wife's flare. She's on octasa 6x800mg a day and at the moment also as a enama at night. She's had UC for about 3 years , had the occasional blip but nothing like what she's going through now. The pain, the wind the stomach cramps are leaving her severely distressed
