Trying to get a diagnosis
I’m now 34 and 2 years ago I was hospitalised due to severe pain which they thought was my appendix and they did a CT scan which showed my caecum and ascending colon was ‘thickened’ which they then atributed to
colitis
.

To complain or not? That is the question!
MRIs showed i had damaged my sacrum and right sacroiliac joint and L1 of spine and had a lot of inflammation....i cannot take anti inflammatories due to
colitis
....they were referring me back to Rheumatology to see if they could do anything to help and to again check my inflammatory markers.

NHS weight loss plan with ulcerative colitis
Just been diagnosed with ulcerative
colitis
& told I need to keep my dietary fibre content low. Imagine my shock on seeing the first week's weight loss sheet which says fill up on fibre. Anyone else in this situation, what can I 'fill up' on if not fibre??

Colitis is getting me down!
Did a short course of beclamethasone in March for 4 weeks I know we’re all different but is this typical of
colitis
? What would people in my Position do?

Immune response to Sars-Cov-2 following organ transplantation.
Even patients with suppressed immune systems can achieve a strong immune response to Sars-Cov-2. A test helps to adapt therapy following an infection. A research team from the University Hospital at Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) has developed a test that provides information on the immune response

I don't think I can take this anymore
I was first diagnosed with silent GERD, then Chronic
Colitis
. Next came Diverticulosis, Gastroparesis, Barrett's Esophagus, Gastritis, and IBS. My symptoms continue to just get worse and worse and every doctor after 3 colonoscopies say I need to change my diet.

Do I need another opinion?
I was diagnosed in December with Stage 3 Kidney disease (GFR 39) but my doctor said it was probably not accurate since I had severe diarrhea which turned out to be
colitis
. I was finally able to see him and get another test and now my eGFR is 58.

Urticaria & my tummy
I have been diagnosed with microscopic
colitis
around 4 years ago now, but for the last two years I have been experiencing bad flares of urticaria. I was referred to a dermatologist, and have had a repeat prescription for Fexofenadine.

Radiation colitis
The report said that I have radiation
colitis
. Or sometimes it is referred as radiation proctitis. I did some research and found this article: "Recent advances in the management of radiation
colitis
" It is pretty long and specialized, very medical. Do you think I should link it? Romian

Constantly tired
I take multi vitamins and iron tablets aswell as my
colitis
meds (I’m guessing it’s them making me feel this way.) I eat reasonably healthy but feel maybe I might be missing something there?? I really don’t know. I’m 7 weeks diagnosed so trial and error with meds at the moment.
