LCHF question about cooking beef mince
I’ve always drained fat off beef mince when cooking for ragu or chilli etc. But under LCHF should I leave the fat in, and would that be yucky to eat?

A Simple inexpensive Blood test can Predict whether you carry a CV risk in future or/and you carry a risk of type 2 Diabetes/metabolic synd
I was interacting yesterday with one of my close Cardiologist Friend (we were school friends), he tells me that one simple blood test- least expensive which people don't do- can predict if you carry any CV risk or type 2 diabetic risk.. For an existing type-2 , it can predict to what extent the beta

Feeling low, follow up to 3 months of stress
Hello everyone, I’m sorry I haven’t replied yet to everyone who responded to my earlier post about all the stress of the last months plus a move. Thank you for all your support. I know I whined quite a bit! We moved a month ago but are still getting settled. I did a lot of moaning about stresses

Undiagnosed Endometriosis from lap and Orilissa. Do I have endo?
Hi all, I recently had a laparoscopy with my OBGYN that left me without answers. He said that I had blisters/possible endometriosis on my ovary, but it didn't explain my pain. Since then I've had my case looked over by a specialist who said that I probably have stage one endometriosis. He also wanted

Second day trying to be low carb
I think I started out right today. For my breakfast I had a sausage patty and hard boiled egg. For lunch I plan to have a salad with turkey and blue cheese dressing. Not sure what supper will be yet. Gonna figure it out soon.

Hi I’ve been lurking here awhile. I am trying to lose 77 lbs. i has a fitness coach helping me do calorie counting and low fat everything. I stopped losing now and I’m missing fats. I admit I’ve been eating potatoes, rice, corn and beans this past month and I’m convinced those carbs stalled my weightloss

The Newcastle Diet : does it work?
If you're short on time, the brief answer is "for most people, no, not really". The longer answer is very interesting. Here's the summary of the 2-year followup, straight from the source: https://www.ncl.ac.uk/media/wwwnclacuk/newcastlemagneticresonancecentre/files/DiRECT%20-%202%20year%20results.pdf

What LCHF looks like for me...
Just posting this to show that LCHF does not have to be a huge heap of saturated fat. I'm getting a bit frustrated by people who hear that I'm "doing low carb", and they do not really understand much about it, are critical and make assumptions, and potentially influence other people away from what could

Hello! Newbie to this forum
Hi, I’ve been on the NHS weight loss forum for about a year but properly really from Feb where I discovered LCHF forum and from others the 16:8 fast. This has helped to get the weight loss going. I struggle to avoid carbs all the time but I know I can have a carbtastic day and then get back in the wagon

Gluten free
My next step, in this journey, is to try a gluten free diet. I’ve done some reading and am a little overwhelmed. It seems like everything contains gluten. Any suggestions on where to start? Thanks!

Soy milk and levothyroxine
I had my thyroid removed 8 years ago. Since then I have taken 100mg daily, sometimes 125mg on two of the days in a week without much problem. Recently I have changed my diet to low carb, no sugar, no processed foods, no pastry. Increased greens such as Kale, Broccoli, Spinach. I have also stopped

Cortisol results – help needed please
Hi guys, Advice needed please regarding my cortisol results and related changes to adrenal symptoms. I took the test after stopping Adrenavive and prednisone for over 2 weeks, so this is a true reflection of my levels without medication. Hopefully, you will agree with my actions to phase out prednisone

Who else has purchased Albutrix?
I have been reading Stopping Kidney Disease by Lee Hull. I buy into the very low protein diet but don't really know much about product. Have others used this product long enough to get blood tests verifying the results?
