Hi, I’ve been on the NHS weight loss forum for about a year but properly really from Feb where I discovered LCHF forum and from others the 16:8 fast.
This has helped to get the weight loss going. I struggle to avoid carbs all the time but I know I can have a carbtastic day and then get back in the wagon.
I wouldn’t go back to eating carbs in a daily basis though, it would see me permanently large and hungry!
I have looked at the 800 cal ‘new’ version of 5:2 but it’s a bit full on for me!
I have been reading posts here with interest, I had no idea that IF could be so controversial!!
Thanks for all the useful info and links to other videos and websites.

Not very! It was quite quick to begin with but I’m not always as focused as I could be.
I’m a teacher and the stress of end of term and tiredness led to comfort eating, I’ve lost a stone since Feb but am yo-yoing a bit around that mark but I know what I need to do.
I’ve had an injury which means exercise is off the menu at the moment. I’m seeing an osteopath for a knee and ankle problem.
We look forward to hearing more about your journey; cheering you on!
Hi Unicorn ,
I’m on the IF for some months now ,yes it seems to be the subject of discussion, but one had to properly Research Research the subject as any new matter as in the Scientific world.I believe it has helped me as I now for the first time in my whole life “with a diet “ am now succeeding. Hi Hidden thanks for your reply, I’m surprised at how well I’m managing with IF. While I’m on holiday I’m having a go at longer fasting and have managed 20:4 a few times.
I watched a couple of you tube videos of Dr Feung. Hoping it will help with healing g my back, knee and ankle issues too.
