What should I be doing about tapering prednisolone?
Also there was nothing about
calcium
and Vit D tabs (or thankfully the dreaded Alendronic Acid!) If I buy over the counter
calcium
and Vit D, would they be the right strength?

Hello, I’m new!
In the meantime she has prescribed me Carbimazole and propranolol and I have had blood tests today for all my thyroid function again, ESR, thyroid antibodies, B12 and
calcium
etc. I have 2 questions - 1) in your experience - is it normal to start taking these before seeing a specialist?

Advice/assistance regarding starting T3.
Current supplements include cod liver oil (which has a tiny amount of vit D),
calcium
, magnesium and zinc (again with a tiny dose of vit D), B complex, and plenty of sunshine. Diagnosis: autoimmune thyroiditis, multinodule goitre, calcified thyroid cyst, many other thyroid cysts.

Tired all the time
I take a lot of supplements (
calcium
, D3, folate, complex B, magnesium glycinate, heme iron),
the only value that was low was ferritin
but I do take iron. I also take Novothyral, which is 100 mcg T4 and 20 mcg T3.

Numbers Through The Roof!
Even a
Calcium
CT Score came back with 0,0,0. No build up or blockages. They did a Lipid Panel breakdown and while his cholesterol is through the roof, his Triglycerides are normal.

Once she had left I rang the surgery and asked why they were repeating unnecessary bloods ie thyroid and
calcium
and then asked why the surgery were not following guidelines with regard to the testing of B12 once on therapy ? ? ?

Baclofen tablets- experiences of.
I’ve recently had a really bad bout of neck spasm, following a General anaesthetic for a bladder distension for interstitial cystitis. I think the anaesthetist was a bit rough with my head extension! ( I’ve had 3 neck fusions, the last was in 2009. Am fused from C3-T3 posteriorly and from C3-C7 anteriorly

Vitamin C
I've just been reading about Liposomal Vitamin C and wondered if anyone is taking this as it seems to be a good choice for people who are sensitive to ascorbic acid or
calcium
ascorbate.

Calcium citrate
I can’t take
calcium
carbonate so take this instead but I’m having trouble finding it in a tablet/capsule size I can easily swallow. Citracal Petites are recommended but I can’t find anywhere that sells them in the UK that doesn’t have dreadful reviews on Trustpilot. Any recommendations?

I am 62, exercise daily and eat healthy, taking

Update and Feeling Kicked…..
Its the first tangible evidence after 2.5 years of seizures that I self manage with
calcium
. It also explains my increasing painful neck. I’ve already been informed that a FNA is required even though small but with the comment that NHS won’t until it becomes stage 4 or 5.

Blood test follow up
A year ago vit D levels and
calcium
were good,
calcium
ok now. Plan to retest for Vit D, date booked 21/4, as a bonus will get CRP/ESR done at the same time. Only symptoms are extreme fatigue.

iron lab results 10 weeks post iron infusion
I have had four iron infusions in the last 2 years. 10 weeks ago I received Injectafer 1000 mg with so-so results. I had seen a hematologist at my neurologist/Sleep specialist’s urging out of his concern for my out of whack lab numbers. The hematologist was not concerned. I gave my sleep, specialist

Recommendations for multivitamin for advanced prostate cancer
His doctor advised him to take a
calcium
and D3 supplement, as well as a men’s multivitamin. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a good multivitamin for men with PC? I’m worried about the multivitamin counteracting against the zoladex injection. Thank you

Blood tests showed high levels of
Calcium
and a diagnosis of Hyperparathyroidism was made. However pain increased despite very large painkiller doses and I was eventually diagnosed (after many many diagnostic tests ) with PMR in December.
