Can anyone recommend a good calcium powder not capsules so I can add to smoothies.?

Thiamin diminished ER calcium considerably, but did not alter CCE. Thiamine did not alter the actions of ROS on ER calcium or CCE.

Has anyone tried natural high calcium mineral water to help absorption of calcium. I am already drinking high silica mineral water which is supposed to displace aluminium which seems to be endemic in our modern lifestyle according to Dr Exley Phd.

I’m not allowed as blood test shows have too much calcium! So no milk or yogurt or cheese etc I found mineral water taking 37% calcium and so that out. It pays to read label and have private blood test to identify problems. Apparently high calcium makes you tired and affects brain and heart

Hi all, Has anyone else had a problem with serum calcium being above rangeI've just had blood test for serum adjusted calcium by GP. Serum calcium is high 279 (220 - 260). They want me to retest in 6 weeks.

I have been on zoledronic acid infusion for 1yr 3 months, are you supposed to take a calcium supplement while I am on it.

Does anyone take Colecal Calcium carb chewable tablets with Apixaban ?

I have been taking 1,000 mg of calcium citrate tablets daily, these supplements come in capsules of 100mg of elemental calcium each, therefore I’m taking 10 spaced throughout the day. My GP says why not take Calcichew 500mg twice a day instead? I’m hesitant because they are calcium carbonate.

I know calcium and gabapentin aren’t good to take within a few hours of each other. What about calcium foods like yogurt taken close to gabapentin doses?? Is that ok or does that decrease the effectiveness of gabapentin? Thank you.

my consultant said I should restart calcium supplements as my blood test (a while back now) although it showed calcium level within the normal range it was low end of normal. I buy a vitamin D spray but the consultant said the tablets are just as effective.

I am trying to maximise my calcium intake but due to plant based diet and need to keep to 1400 calories a day getting 1200mg of calcium by diet along is hard! So looking at algae based supplement of around 450mg in two capsules morn and night. Already takes D3 and K2.

I take regular dosage of vitamin D My question is do other people experience this problem with calcium and if so how do they deal/ stop it? Apologies for the long lead in to the question

but one of the GP said don’t take added calcium. My calcium isn’t low anyway. But she says calcium can really cause trouble. Kidney stones, depression. Having iron infusion next week. Lucky cos there is world shortage of iron and saline.

Any thoughts please on the prescription calcium chewables as to quality /absorbtion etc? Which are often prescribed alongside Levo 💛

Dad has normal calcium levels in his blood tests. He has taken one dose of Denusomab 60 mg and has to take it every six months. He also had osteoporosis in some parts. The doctors write 1000 mg calcium to take daily but is that necessary if one has normal serum levels ?
