That we actually do not need dairy as adults and should be getting
calcium
from fruits and veggies along with natural
calcium
supplements. I have recently switched to organic egg shell
calcium
, as it absorbs 67% more than other
calcium
. Has anyone been using this and see improvements?

Constipation, Osteopaenia and Calcium
Hi, I have had osteopaenia for years, currently taking
Calcium
, magnesuim bisglycinate, D3, Vit K2 (natto), Boron. I also suffer from chronic constipation and wonder if the
calcium
I am taking as well as that in my diet (cheeses) is aggravating the problem.

Am I getting enough calcium and should I take a supplement
Doctors have never mentioned I have a lack of
calcium
. I’ve bought a triple supplement that covers
calcium
, K2 and D vitamins. I have yet to start taking. If you have too much
calcium
it’s also not good. Have we caused our osteoporosis by not getting enough
calcium
for many years.

Bones Absorbing Calcium
Does anyone know if there is a test to take to know how well or if our bones are absorbing the
calcium
we eat and
calcium
supplements we take? Does testing
calcium
in the blood tell us how much
calcium
our bones are absorbing ?

Calcium d glucarate
The vitamin is called
calcium
d glucarate. You can buy it from Amazon. I open the capsule and put about 1:6, in a small sip of water and mix it (it floats somewhat) so, I had my dad take a quick sip each time.

PMR confusion over drug timings
I take Omeprazole in the early morning, before Pred. and then the
calcium
chew. I have seen on these posts recently that the
calcium
should not be taken near to the Pred as they do not react well with each other - is this right?

Pins & Needles (Calcium Absorption & Seizures)
This is because in addition to B12 it also affects
calcium
absorption and other micronutrients. (Please take care though because too much
calcium
also causes issues. ) I think this excellent article explains it pretty well: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7828248/

Calcium citrate
I can’t take
calcium
carbonate so take this instead but I’m having trouble finding it in a tablet/capsule size I can easily swallow. Citracal Petites are recommended but I can’t find anywhere that sells them in the UK that doesn’t have dreadful reviews on Trustpilot. Any recommendations?

Calcium Supplements
I want to thank all of you who responded to my question on using
calcium
supplements. I received many replies on exercise, diet, efficacy and side effects which led me to conclude that my current lifestyle is more than adequate to maintain bone health without supplements.
