I have been taking prednisolone for PMR for nearly 4 weeks and have my first review this week - I'm feeling fab since starting on pred - not taking any supplements yet - should I be asking about
calcium
and vitamin D at my review appointment?

Radium 223 and (AdcalD3) calcium supplements
I think the advice is to keep off the
calcium
supplements 7 days before a Ra 223 injection and then return to the tablets a few days after. Similarly my Zometa (Zoledronic Acid )injection should be timed so it is no closer than 7 days before or after the Radium injection.

Complicated with NASH, looking for next step
Yesterday, I saw Nephro for very low sodium (126- norm 135) /low
calcium
- a very extensive & good visit - labs/history /exam - diagnosed with red hands, clubbed toes/some fingers (showed 3 Dr's & none knew what they were), hyponatremia/hypocalcemia.

Thyroidectomy
Started on
calcium
and Euthyrox (100ug) (Levothyroxine). Feel OK, a bit buzzy and lightheaded but I guess that could also be a reaction to the 3 hour recent surgery. Any advice at the beginning of this journey?

Video : How One Disease Changed What We Know About Medicine - Twice
This video (7 mins 21 secs) is about the discovery of vitamin D and its connection with rickets, and how this then turned into discoveries about the connection with
calcium
and then it starts getting a bit more complicated... https://www.youtube.com/watch?

Endo appointment in Liverpool ❤️
We did discuss the probability of the 7mm nodule being either just sitting on the laryngeal nerve or actually buried in it, if the latter is the case I would unfortunately not be able to be operated on as its to dangerous 😢 Had a full set of parathyroid bloods,
calcium
, vit D, liver, urine done to👍

Mother has calcium score of 470
Her total coronary
calcium
score is 470 (ie 75 th - 90th percentile ). It's got both her and I rather concerned. Is there anything she can do to better things? Any advice/tips/comments? Much appreciated, Sophie .

PGAD relief tips
Hi all, I am reaching out to see amy tips you may have for relief? Currently lasts 24 hours a day, worst is at night but never goes away. Its very distressing and I cried again today as am just so exhausted. Have seen a urogynacologist and am now trialling HRT patches (hysterectomy in 2018) plus estrogen

Need for Calcium supplements?
I have been on prednisolone for 10 months for PMR, recent flare at 7mg so now on 10mg until resolved. My Dexa scans show no significant bone loss, currently not taking any supplements. Should I commence them as still have some way to go on this journey!
