Answer's at last for my deficiency.
Some of you will know I have both hypothroidism together with hypoparathyroidism The letter gave my throid results which were all in range but my
calcium
was low. I have to take
calcium
supplements due to the hypopara issue which are prescribed.

Akathisia similar to RLS
Anti psychotics, anti nausea meds, and
calcium
channel blockers are the main culprits. It is thought that they block dopamine 2 receptors in the brain. However, akathisia usually resolves when the medications are stopped.

Mum back in hospital.
No wonder she has been so unwell she has....Low potassium Low
Calcium
Low Magnesium That looks like it is affecting the electrodrods in her heart. So she is being hooked up to heart monitor and a drip during the night.

Newly diagnosed Stage 4
Liver enzymes level is normal,
calcium
level normal. I did a whole body scan unfortunately Scans show multifocal bone metastases on my patient portal. My onc don’t tell me anything. She don’t talk to me about the new diagnosis and what is my next treatment plan.

Fallout from PET/CT Scan
The report shows a very high
calcium
score of 1609 and significant calcification in multiple arteries. One artery is showing severe stenosis 70% to 80%. The cardiologist is sending me to the Cath lab for angiogram. The CT scan also shows the precarinal lymph node of size 10 by 8 mm.

Yet another mess...
She then asked me if I was still taking the
calcium
pills. I told her I dont take
calcium
pills and never have. "Yes yes, yes yes". Anyway, she said she would arrange the blood test and include a Vit D test. (I knew this would not happen), but I had to phone back to arrange a date and time.

Getting adequate bone minerals without milk or yogurt
I took
calcium
and Vitamin D for many years because I've always hated milk and yogurt. I have some digestive problems now and can't take
calcium
. I try to eat green veggies, and I eat cheese, but I worry about my bones. I tried
calcium
hydroxyapatite but got constipated. Any suggestions?

Advice Please
I’d stopped Biotin, Omega 3,
Calcium
Citrate, Vitamin D3 + Mk7, Folic Acid 5 days previously and my weekly injection of MTX was 2 days beforehand.

My MPN family need help/advice for natural way to treat minor Osteoporosis.
I am considering to take
calcium
and if you could suggest dosage and a very good one (brand). Did anyone had this experience, medicine for it and how did that went? I have contacted my MPN team and waiting for replay. Please advise. Wishing you well.

vitamin K2
There are claims that it reduces
calcium
deposits in arteries. If so, would it cause problems for PV patients?

Thoughts on Denosumab in my case
Have added
calcium
. The extreme potential side effects of Denosumab are unsettling. PC is locally advanced (seminal vessels) but negative PSMA Pet Scan for spread.

Supplements for 2nd trimester
Hello all, I’m 16 weeks pregnant now and as it’s my first pregnancy I’m not sure whether I should just go for Iron, Protein,
Calcium
supplements or wait for my midwife to suggest.

Anyone had any issues with this affecting absorption of
calcium
or other minerals? Have a bone density problem and can't afford for it to do that. Also getting tingling in toes, fingers and lips which can apparently be a sign of deficiency. Anyone know anything about this?

Low PTH
My phosphorus and
calcium
are both within range so I'm not sure what's causing it. I see my primary doc on Mon and I'll ask her but was curious as to anyone else having this. I still have my glands so that's not the cause.

Multiple nodules thyroid
I have been advised to completely remove the thyroid, but I wish to try RFA to reduce them volume and prevent the complications streaming from parathyroid glands removal( 4 small glands responsible for the body
calcium
level).

More On Rate Control Meds
They preferentially bind to activated
calcium
channels making their effect on heart rate use dependent.

Just a little rant
So here I am, switched to organic egg shell
calcium
( studies show this form absorbs over 60 percent more than any other form of
calcium
) and take small amount of vitamin C before meals and the meals I eat where I take my
calcium
, I finish that meal with Citric Acid.

Dairy (including milk, kefir, yogurt etc.) actually increases bone fractures?
Many doctors and articles seem to tout dairy for the
calcium
to help build bone density, yet I am reading more articles that seem to reinforce the studies which find that not only does it not help, it is actually detrimental and increases risk of fracture and even Parkinsons disease. Anyone else?
