Pericarditis
Hi. Just been diagnosed with the above after a very scary episode and astay in hospital, but feel a bit lost. Don't know what caused it and wont know for 6 months whether there is any damage to the heart. I find myself hyperventilating now. Thank goodness for the old pregnancy breathing exercises!

Damn the Torpedoes Part 2. Impact of exercise on a low calorie, LCHF diet.
For the sake of simplicity, we’ll just use 2300, which will include basal metabolic requirements (just living
breathing
, repairing, digesting etc) and basic everyday mundane activity, but excludes
exercise

New to this, but not ESRD
I'm going on almost 22 years (31) living with FSGS, 17 of which has been on dialysis, it has been a long road dealing with all the ups and mostly downs of life with kidney disease. I have pretty much went through and experienced everything one can as a ESRD patient from; transplant, transplant removal

Pneumonia/chest infection?
I’ve seen two doctors over the last two weeks, the first one diagnosed pneumonia and gave me antibiotics, steroids and inhaler. A week later a second doctor said the only way to diagnose pneumonia is with X-ray, which I haven’t had. He talked about the semantics of pneumonia and lower respiratory tract

Panic Attacks on Subway
I've lived in New York City for 8 years now, I've been using the subway, if not everyday then every other day the whole time. Recently I have been terrified to ride the subway alone, I'm afraid the train will get stuck in a tunnel with no service and that I will be trapped alone for an undisclosed length

So I have OCD and anxiety. Recently it's gotten the worse it's ever been to the point that I dissociated during a few intense anxiety attacks lastkng a few days, which obviously worsens my fears of insanity. Some relief in my twitches
Recently I took some advice and started doing the breathing exercises and have tried not to pay attention to the nerves and let it pass and it has gotten a lot better. All day today has been fine. I was at the dentist yesterday and also started to have anxiety before I got back to chair. Had to have

Asthma or not?
I was diagnosed with viral asthma on 10 September and I’m on the blue (since 10 September) and brown inhaler (since 14 September). I couldn’t get an asthma nurse’s appointment till a couple of days ago. She took a history, did a spirometry test (ok), watched my inhaler technique (good), told me my chest

Pain during sex
Does anyone else suffer with painful sex? I'm just so fed up with it. It's been years since I've been able to have sex without being in agony, both during and after. I'm only 23, and I can't stand the thought that this might never get better. I've been doing physio for nearly a year now, and I've only

How long have I got?
Hi, I was just diagnosed with COPD last month and have been trying to research the condition. My doctor was not helpful and just told me this was the result of my chest xray. I had to make an appointment for a spirometry test after research. I am still in shock and feel out of control. I am on beclometasone
