Yayyy 6.6 on the sugar scale!!
I’ve begun running again after graduating last year, then lapsing over winter. I’m dieting sensibly for my sons wedding on 27th April. I completed week 5 run 3 yesterday. BUT THE BEST OF ALL !!!! My blood sugars have come down to 6.6 this morning. That’s the lowest they’ve been since I was diagnosed

Podietry or not?
I have type 2 diabetes and on 3 tablets which has now been changed to 2 and one of the others has been doubled. If this doesn't work in 3 months I will have to go on insulin I have over 30 chronic medical conditions so can't bend down so have to pay to have my toenails cut. My friend told me this isn't

Diabetes Type 2 finally.
Have mentioned this in a reply to another post. Today my doctor has prescribed me Metformin to address my blood sugar levels. I have tried (not massively but I have tried) to address my insulin resistant body but to no avail. I am sick and tired of saying to myself, you can't have that, you shouldn't

I am not done, I have only just begun! (Part 2)
So I have to admit to feeling rather proud of myself today, and with apologies to those who read my very 1st post, I am going to repeat the story of my journey which may help some others. Last September I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and although I would not say I was totally unfit I weighed

Whoopppeee! Back to normal thanks to diet and you guys!
I was diagnosed prediabetic about a year ago, put on low dose of Metformin and also a moderate Keto diet, thanks largely to advice on this forum as well as my nurse. I had a blood test at six months in and had managed to improve and come one step away from prediabetic instead of becoming diatbetic. Now

Views on my daily breakfast
After a long break I decided I should get back to getting healthy again. I decided to stick to one breakfast, repeating it doesn't bother me, but wanted to ask what others thought as most info I've found seems to point to me doing all the right things. To start I have 1 turmeric capsual and take it with

Ways to lower your cholesterol
I just noticed this "Learn all about cholesterol and ways to manage it using this new online programme from the British Heart Foundation." and it got me thinking of a video, a very informative video called 'What The Health', that was relating to cholesterol, diabetes and other things. If you find information

Eggs & diabetes
I just received an email talking arguing eggs are not bad for diabetes, and possibly good. To justify its position it referred to a study performed at The University of Eastern Finland, and published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition studied the diets of men aged 42 to 60, and followed them

Diabetes
As the regulars here probably know, I take quite an interest in this. Diabetes Type 2, and all the horrible consequences that follow, is simply not taken seriously by the NHS, despite the fact that a large chunk of its budget disappears into that particular black hole. Metabolic Syndrome in general consumes

Cellulitus
Hi, I have recently been diagnosed as being a type 2 diabetic. In the past, I have been treated a few times for cellulitis. It always occurs when traveling and it doesn't seem to matter what the climate is. However, since my diabetes diagnosis, I have the same strange sensations in my legs and the feeling
