Homemade Chicken Burger and Chips
Tonight’s dinner - crumbed chicken, avocado, tomato and coleslaw in a toasted brioche bun swerved chips, cooked in the oven with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkled with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and rosemary. It was delicious, even if I do say so myself. My husband was pretty impressed too

NIDDUK quote - link between diabetes type 2 and stroke
People with diabetes tend to develop heart disease at a younger age than people without diabetes. In adults with diabetes, the most common causes of death are heart disease and stroke. Adults with diabetes are nearly twice as likely to die from heart disease or stroke as people without diabetes.2.

Cost of Intron A
I'm new here and I've been reading several post and that made me little calm. So thought to share my problem and ask for your suggestions. I was diagnosed with ET JAK2 positive 6 years ago at the age of 25 and was on HU+ aspirin. At present. I want to expand my family and my doc prescribed INTRON A.

Difficulty getting prescribed H2 Blockers.
I was prescribed Ranitidine when I was discharged from hospital last January 2020. This was then withdrawn and since, my pharmacy has not been able to obtain the substitutes which the doctors have subsequently prescribed:- famotidine, cimetidine and nizatidine. Does anyone know if these are now available

Thank you. Diabetes because of lung meds.
Thank you all so much for the response you gave me. I did not known that you could get diabetes through certain meds in particular my lung meds. They told me whilst in critical care in 2019 they were treating me with insulin because of the meds they were treating me with during my stay at CC. 1 year

Multi Vitamins for 70+ with MVP Mitral Valve Prolapse and HBP High Blood Pressure
After reading all the lovely post on here, I had a look at all the ingredients on my Multi Vitamin tablets I have just started to take. To my surprise I found Co-enzyme Q10 but only 10mg and Acetyl L Carnitine 20mg and Magnesium 75mg which I have been told I should take with a leaky mitral valve. Obviously

Statins
My GP wants me to start on statins based on an analysis of my cholesterol level and various other factors including postcode (not sure why this is a consideration as I live in a fairly ordinary surburban area). When I read up on statins I was rather put off when I read about the risk of type 2 diabetes

Blood results - no values given - advice please!
Hi All, so I've had my yearly blood test with full blood counts, fasting glucose, HBA1C and TSH. To get my results my GP practice doctor calls us and goes through the results; of which he only mentioned TSH, not all results so I had to ask for the fasting glucose and HBA1C. He seemed reluctant to discuss

borderline diabetic? What medications can cause this?
I have been told by my GP that following my annual blood tests my blood sugar levels are raised suggesting I could be borderline diabetic. This has really shocked me as there is no known history of diabetes either side of my parental families and I am not obese, although a tad overweight. I was wondering
