I have recently been diagnosed as being a type 2 diabetic. In the past, I have been treated a few times for cellulitis. It always occurs when traveling and it doesn't seem to matter what the climate is.
However, since my diabetes diagnosis, I have the same strange sensations in my legs and the feeling that they are on fire.
I would be interested to know if anyone else has had this problem.
Many thanks.

I hope my GP will now take me seriously. I have a holiday booked for May and when treated abroad I have been told I should always have antibiotics with me to take at the first sign of trouble.
The GP I see now tells me I have never had cellulitis, despite two doctors in the practice treating me for it in the past and four doctors abroad.
I am now getting really anxious about my holiday and know exactly how my leg feels before the swelling starts.
I don`t have the option of seeing another GP (too complicated to explain)
I really don`t want another holiday spoiled either for myself or my traveling-companion
who is having chemo and fighting battles worse than mine
I honestly don`t know. Have had one blood test and been told they are "off the scale". I have a 2nd blood test booked for Tuesday and I then need to wait for the results to get back to my GP and then make an appointment to see him.
I seem to be blundering around in the dark at the moment. I just hope I can get answers at my next appointment.
