Have I understood correctly? (Polite) stand-off with ultrasound doctor.
edit: it’s occurred to me that a thyroid diagnosis is made based on
blood
tests
and doesn’t require an ultrasound to confirm that. My daughter, for example, was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in the summer based purely on her bloods. Thanks 🙏

HCG level blip?
Also my immune
blood
tests
have come back slightly raised (they usually are slightly raised with me) and so I may also need an Intralipid drip on Friday (I had this pre egg retrieval). We have our first scan on Friday when I’ll be 5 weeks 3 days pregnant.

Latest blood test results. Advice please!
I just wanted to ask some advice as the last two
blood
tests
I have had showed a borderline underactive thyroid, but the GP won't do anything until the TSH is over 10. My previous blood test showed a reading of 5.9 mu/L.

Second update Nearly there
That was to do with the endocrine system which was not his speciality but I could have the usual
blood
tests
, signs of inflammation (I forget the initials, CRP, ECR?) and liver and kidney etc. Hopeless!

Accurate Blood tests
Hello, I'm quite confused how to prepare before a blood test. Should I be stopping any vitamin supplementation before the blood test if so how many days? I'm taking T3 and T4 at the moment, when should be my last dose before the blood test? Thanks

family member help
She went to her GP who ran some
blood
tests
. Sadly not CA125. They sent her for an ultrasound scan of her liver and showed a small cyst which they told her to switch to a Mediterranean diet. a few weeks ago, and she’s still experiencing the abdo pain and bloating.

Hoping it could it just be stress from the illness, having further

GP & Endo Suggestions for brighton east sussex area?
At least he has referred me to have a para thyroid test based on other
blood
tests
, and says I will need to discuss with the endocrinology if I want another opinion.

Feeling cold despite overactive thyroid
GP did full
blood
tests
, showing an overactive thyroid but all other tests within range (detailed below). I take 100mcg Levothyroxine a day and have just dropped down to 75mcg but have been feeling cold for a very long time.

Yesterday my Neurologist took a
blood
sample to get a baseline test so that future
tests
can see if my MS goes up is stable or goes down. I've not heard of this before.

cysts on kidneys
I’ve urine
tests
and all come back satisfactory.
Blood
tests
came back satisfactory too. I was told not to worry. GP Surgery will consult with urology. The thing that causes me a bit of worry is both kidneys have a cyst each. Not great news. anyone been, or are in similar position?

Help!
I have been unwell for about 8 months now with all the symptoms of Addison's Disease(which I only new about recently) I had
blood
cortisol
tests
done 1 week apart at 9am.1. 128 nmol/L 2. 250 nmol/L My gp says this doesn't warrant further investigation despite all of my symptoms.

When We Have CLL, Why We Need Particularly need an Immunome. (Why neutrophil and immunoglobulin counts don't measure immunity all that well)
It is possible to do
blood
serum titre
tests
to check for antibody levels against some infectious diseases, but it's rarely done. The final version of "[i]VIrScan.

Borderline Thyroid test
I've had two
blood
tests
which both show borderline/ abnormal thyroid results, but no one seems willing to do anything. Thought I'd post my results here and see if anyone could shed any light on how abnormal it needs to get before someone will help.

Elevated Vitamin A in serum with no supplements
The only other strange thing in my
blood
tests
is a gradual rise in lipoprotein A since 2015. The level is meant to remain relatively static. Mine has raised from 51.9mg/dL to 90.5 since 2015 (ref. <30).

Low fT4, but midrange fT3. Feeling cold, brain fog.
I did a lot of
blood
tests
in the last year. Most values are ok. Zinc, Vit B, Selen etc. has all been tested ok, too. The problem IMHO seems to be that fT4 is always at the bottom of reference, while fT3 is always in the mid range. TSH is normal.
