Vitamin and mineral supplements? My latest results
All
blood
tests
were done no later than 9.30am, no levo for 24 hours before. I've worked really hard this year on my diet, but my Free T3 has barely shifted. I eat loads of veg, nuts and seeds, meat, no gluten (finally committed to it), no dairy (many years).

misdiagnosed ?
In the past year I have had no Antiphospholipid antibodies in
blood
tests
. I have moved house and my new rheumatologist thinks I have lupus with secondary APS. My new haematologist is now suggesting that a high treatment rather than preventative dose of Apixaban would be a better option.

Biopsy results
Most recent
blood
tests
now show ESR and CRP completely normal, having been very raised at initial presentation three weeks ago , and the initial ultrasound showed no signs. So was it /is it GCA or not? Who knows.?

Medichecks results, please advise
Hi Everyone, posting my 1st ever private
blood
tests
. Please can anyone comment, I'm quite new to this. The results came with a Dr's overview, so I'll be taking Vit D supplements but the other results appeared 'normal'. What do you think?

GP Levothyroxine review appointment today
Her last couple of
blood
tests
are similar- TSH < 0.005 and T3 and T4 in normal range. Her TSH has been suppressed since 2019 when she was started on Liothyronine. She is not describing any hyperthyroid symptoms. She feels this regimen suits her. I would be grateful for your advice.

Confused and frustrated
I have been feeling unwell for a couple of years with symptoms getting gradually worse, lots of
blood
tests
over this time then finally in March my B12 levels were tested.

GP reducing Levo dose based on blood tests only. Need evidence/papers to show under dosing is potentially harmful too
Update March 2024: I finally saw a Prof of Endocrinology in December 2023 , who determined I did need Liothyronine. A shared care agreement was arranged with my GP and finally last week I started on a trial of Liothyronine. Thank you to everybody who responded and all information supplied. Knowledge

Advice about plan of treatment
Initial GP contact was excellent - he identified the problem,
blood
tests
same day, consult 2 days later to confirm diagnosis and I started 15 mg Prednisolone the day after. I feel much better 2 weeks later, less pain and stiffness and less tired.

Visited my GP had
blood

My evaluation of which form of B12 is best.
The only justification is that
blood
tests
show it releases better in the body. Cyanocobalamin is seen as 'bad". Perhaps as it has been shown that oral Cyanocobalamin is not as effective as injections in general.

I got a telephone appointment on friday and my gp has arranged some

Downs Syndrome and blood tests.
I know I should know this one but wondered if others could advise. My youngest is 13 and has Down syndrome, at some point in the past I remember being told that her blood test had shown antibodies . Was assured that everything would be monitored and being a stressed out fool took them at their word

Auditory hallucinations triggered by raising Levothyroxine dose.
My 92 yr old mother has had mildly low thyroid levels diagnosed from
blood
tests
. She was put on 25mg daily which she’s been on for some months now. The most recent blood test indicated she needed to raise the dose so was given 50mg daily.

Lynparza - warning!
Though I have told his GP that he was on it and that it can have great impact on
blood
counts, she did not pick anything alarming from
tests
on March 26th or perhaps thought it is how his disease is evolving. I did not get the test result and thus did not inform MO.

Blood Test Mystery
Called for annual
blood
pressure check. Nurse noticed long overdue for
blood
tests
. Received e-mail to contact surgery to discuss results, obviously a problem. Phoned, no appointments available told to try again in a couple of days.

Notes for upcoming GP appointment
I know that within my recent
blood
tests
the ANA came back as negative, which the lab has stated obviates the need for further ENA/DNA Ab testing, however in its recent guidelines the British Society for Rheumatology states that in people suspected of having Sjogrens Disease the ENA should still be measured

Shocked by GP
I am aware that I had annual
blood
tests
to keep an eye on other things but I was never contacted about my kidneys. Surely if my annual tests were coming back abnormal then meds would be changed accordingly?
