Elevated Vitamin A in serum with no supplements
The only other strange thing in my
blood
tests
is a gradual rise in lipoprotein A since 2015. The level is meant to remain relatively static. Mine has raised from 51.9mg/dL to 90.5 since 2015 (ref. <30).

blood

pains in head
Lost much sight in right eye in June, an eye-stroke, proved not GCA from scans and
blood
tests
at the time and two temporal biopsies three weeks ago. Out of the blue Friday morning, during breakfast several internal stabbing pains in the head, only on the left side, above the good eye.

update
today I got back my
blood
tests
results. Everything normal no action. I asked about my cholesterol as I mentioned only just started on them 2 1/2 weeks when I had blood test. So I wasn’t expecting much. My perseverance has paid off yoghurt drinks with fortified Stanols. 3 grams beta glucan.

My question is about the best way of getting a diagnosis of scleroderma or of discounting it?
I was diagnosed recently with Raynaud's disease which can get quite painful, but is manageable. I have GORD and a small hiatus hernia. However I do get abdominal pain and have asthma exacerbated by allergies. I have just had a CT scan and was told the pain is probably musco-skeletal, plus I have an atrophied

What to push for next
Beyond
blood
tests
, I'm not sure they know what is the best course of action. Am I better off ditching the folic acid and just taking a B complex and what shall I push for at the GP appointment? Thanks

Notes for upcoming GP appointment
I know that within my recent
blood
tests
the ANA came back as negative, which the lab has stated obviates the need for further ENA/DNA Ab testing, however in its recent guidelines the British Society for Rheumatology states that in people suspected of having Sjogrens Disease the ENA should still be measured

Confusing Lab Test Results
I had a recent PMR flare that necessitated my temporarily going up from the 5mg I had tapered down to to a much higher dose. 20mg for 2 weeks, followed by 15mg for one week and then a drop to 10mg, where I have stayed for almost a month before I resume DL’s slow 5 week taper. Fortunately, my increased

Blood Test Timescales
Does anyone know how long different
blood
tests
take to turn around? A week ago I had a set of
blood
tests
done. I want convinced the nurse was not paying full attention. By COB Thursday I had (online) U&Es, LFT, Bone Profile and CRP (not requested but raised).

experiences with seasonal changes?
If you have taken thyroid hormone replacement for some time and your levels are pretty much settled please can you share your experiences with seasonal changes? Do you find you need to reduce/increase your doses seasonally? What signs apart from blood test results indicate this if so?

B12 and feet
Hi all, Have posted before. I have been on 3 monthly B12 injections for a long time, and recently been put on 2 monthly injections after a blood test due to symptoms getting worse. One symptom that seems to be getting worse, very hot feet, pins & needles really painful to walk on. Any suggestions

Help with T3
I posted on here last week looking some advice on my latest

Test results show no inflammation
My
blood
tests
did show that my T4 levels were quite low [although TSH looks reasonable] so I have asked my GP to increase my levothyroxine dosage as I am only on 50mg at the moment.

GP App
so I had an echocardiogram in February and they said if I don’t hear anything they will review me in 12 months re my AF with a view to discharging me. This sounded great and I haven’t heard anything. However, I’ve just gone on my GP app tonight to check a blood test and I couldn’t believe my eyes when

Bruising
Sudden bruising on legs and arms. Blood test is ok but I still have this. It can be an effect of levothyroxine?
