Thyroid-S
My last
blood
tests
showed my T3 was just out of the ratio level. (Low side). I know many t3/t4 ndt(natural designated thyroid) Thyroid supplier's have changed their ingredients and levels - with astorshinate price rises. But apparently Thyroid-S was one of the cheapest?

And breathe …..
He said he’d looked at the
blood
film on both
tests
himself and couldn’t see anything of concern on either! On the previous one there was a trace but not more than he would expect and nothing on the latest one at all.

PMR since July 2018 and down to 1mg. Enter GCA
I didn't have inflammatory markers done as part of my
blood
tests
because I had zero PMR symptoms and I seemed to be doing fine. So I don't know if CRP and ESR would have been rising. I had always wondered how I would spot GCA given the frequency and severity of headaches I have. Now I know.

Chronic kidney disease
My recent GP-ordered
blood
tests
have revealed chronic kidney disease. I have been told that an appointment will not be necessary. My creatine count is very high this time but B12 etc. are fine. Should I worry; everything online says this is serious.

Just had a wonderful weekend and now back to more hospital appointments.
Add to this, a broken crown (thanks to some very hard sour bread), dental appointments for broken teeth (where I hit the paving) and our much loved cat having a blooming seizure entailing several vet's appointments including
blood
tests
for which we had to collect and give her sedation (the cat - not

Some evidence to take to Gp needed please.
I asked her to get a copy of her last couple of years of
blood
tests
and guess what, from the levels not one time was she over medicated. Her Tsh that her gp likes to dose by has been in range constantly and the last 2
blood
tests
showed she was undermedicated.

However I have not had any
blood
tests
until last week and the results now show I have both a low blood count and I am low in Ferritin as well.

My calcium level appears low within bone profile blood tests. Are these an accurate representation I wonder?
Is there a reason why my
blood
tests
are not reflecting the amount of calcium I ingest? Can I get private urine testing done somewhere? Is this more accurate than a blood test?

Lump in pelvic area & elevated CA125 - but non urgent referral - should I be pushing this?
She referred me down the two week wait route for an urgent ultrasound, she also ordered
blood
tests
including CA125. I did the bloods and my CA125 is elevated at 42 (so not really high but it is higher than normal range).

Leukemia-associated macrophages, their role in the CLL Tumor Micro-environment and how they affect progression and therapy response
It's also why smudge cells (CLL cells with ruptured cell membranes) are often reported on our
blood
tests
. Having a high count of smudge cells is actually a good prognostic marker.

GP appointment and blood tests - will recent steroid injection skew results?
She sent me for
blood
tests
today which included CRP, ESR, Rheumatoid factor and various other tests relating to autoimmune conditions. She insisted I call back for review even if tests come back normal for referral to Rheumatology.

Optimal vitamin levels?
I am also wondering about doing my own
blood
tests
in order to get more than just TSH and plan to do one 6 weeks after increasing the levo dose.

Request for advice looking for possible new diagnosis
and hoping that the GP agrees to start afresh, has anyone any advice on notes I should take with me when I can get in, questions I should ask, and
tests
I should definitely hope are included in any
blood
tests
? Thanks for reading if you got this far!

My symptoms have returned - do I need additional Levothyroxine?
Two sets of
blood
tests
this year (both done according to our protocol) show FT3 to be good, but FT4 has been dropping. The tests, in Feb 2024 and July 2024, show FT3 at 94% and 73% through range respectively, but FT4 has dropped to 37% and 34% through range (it used to higher).

I am so confused! I have been diagnosed with cirrhosis after a stay in hospital with ascites. What do they pay more attention to the scans or the blood work? It’s so confusing. They say at scans they are for only surveillance of cancerous lesions but can they tell if the cirrhosis has gotten worse even
