Do I need to worry?
My
blood
tests
results were very good until now, like normal. The consultant even said I was in remission. But the latest blood test is showing HB, RBC, WBC etc all under the recommended level. No one said anything today at the Chemotherapy Unit. Only that some were a little bit low.

Have you had chemo via cannula?
I did struggle with the cannulas for my surgeries, but am ok with
blood
tests
and like the idea of not having anything in my body when I get home from chemo, so went with the cannual option. The first session was a doddle, cannula was inserted quickly and I had no bruising or pain.

Gyny problems
My CLL
blood

have been favourable, and I now have monthly
blood

instead of weekly. Anybody else had gyny problems as well as CLL?

Thyroid Uptake Scan
My
blood
tests
also show my results are still the same TSH 0.1. I’m worried what does this mean and what are they looking for.

First antibody test results
Every now and again I ask for various
blood
tests
to be repeated to rule out any underlying illnesses that could be masked by the ME (blood count, kidney/liver function etc). On a few occasions over the past 7-8-ish years, my TSH has been raised or towards the top end of normal.

New to the group - looking for some realistic advice on recovery time after loading doses
Similar story to many,
blood
tests
showing low B12/folate/ferritin (although this hasn't been mentioned at all by my GP). Had 6 x loading doses followed by 5mg folic acid that I'm on for three months. I was told last week that since my test for IF antibodies was negative that I do not have PA.

High FSH & LH but normal oestrogen - aged 37 still having periods
Anyway I’ve recently had hormone
blood
tests
and my FSH (72!) and LH (47) have come back saying post menopausal range. My oestrogen level was on the low side of normal. How can this be possible if I’ve still been having periods? Plus the fact I’m 37.

Methotrexate not Pred
It is all about medication and
blood
tests
. This has all been going on over 2 years now and I feel like I am in a snakes and ladders game. I read posts on here and the PMR magazine so I know there are no easy answers. It is just all very frustrating.

Statin Side Effects
I’ve had
blood
tests
& calcium levels are found to be raised. GP said that statins wouldn’t cause high calcium levels, but when I looked into to it (google) it said artovastatin can cause this 🤷♀️ I am seeing another GP next week for a review appointment.

Starting medication advice
I have done some private
blood
tests
and will be supplementing B12, D3 w K2, Ferritin and Folate as required once I have the results back. I was thinking of holding off on the Thyroxine until i am supplementing adequately as I know deficiencies can impact absorbance of the medication.

Rituximab and Chest Infections
The chest X-ray showed a lot if infection in 1 lung, but I still had no temperature and my
blood
tests
showed no inflaminflammatory markers. Apart from the breathlessness I didn't feel unwell as I usually do when fighting an infection. I am on another round of antibiotics.

New IBS diagnosis
I should add that I had lost over half a stone in weight. The GP did a prostate exam (nothing abnormal) as my father has prostate cancer 2 years ago and did say my stomach was bloated and tender, I was then booked in for
blood
tests
later that week (came back clear) although my symptoms were getting worse

Costochondritis after heart attack
I passed my stress test, CT scan, full
blood
test and X-rays. All
tests
clear and heart working great. I was still in pain though and up until a week ago after visiting an osteopath I didn’t know what was wrong with me.
