No more appointments
I had an appointment yesterday to discuss results of recent echo. Was seen by a specialist (can’t remember official title) who is a level below cardiologist - apparently does all the ground work and liases with cardiologist. He advised that as well as afib, I now have 2 slightly leaky valves and also

Sotalol ..... Part 2
A short while ago I posted on here about Sotalol. Thank you all for your replies and various comments. Looking at all the replies I don’t really see anything that resembles my symptoms ….. and even they are now changing day by day. All the original symptoms that I originally described - brain fog and

Should I be worried about suppressed TSH
I am extremely well and all my bloods seem within normal range to me (but not the GP)! I am 61 years old and was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroditis and Chronic Fatigue in 2004. My only health issue is very erratic sleep (one night 8 and a half hours, the next 4) which I handle by resting in the afternoon

Hi everyone, I first experienced heart palpitations 8 years ago and went through the whole process of contacting the GP having numerous heart monitors etc - my GP and other health professionals went as far as to push the narrative that my palpitations where due to aniexty and my GP even diagnosed me

Levo with someprazole and bisoprolol
Is there any reason why I cannot take Levothyroxine at the same time as esomesprazole and Bisoprolol? I KNOW Levo should be taken an hour before anything else but just want to know if anything in these other meds would prevent thyroxine uptake. Thank you.

Doxazosin: anybody experience of postural hypotension?
Over the last 4 years I have had Long Covid, the most obvious symptoms being increased BP and HR, and breathlessness, and I was put on 6 different Hypertensive drugs, remaining on 5 simultaneously for over two years. Symptoms persisted including dizziness and fainting, and I had the usual ecgs, chest

Bisoprolol
I only had just over a week on bisoprolol 5mgs after coming out the hospital after fast afib episode. I felt breathless and nauseated. I have no follow up at the hospital, they just said gp to review so last week the gp did agree reluctantly to go down to 3.75mgs which I've taken for nearly a week but

AF and amiodaran treatment, ablations, cardioversions
This is an update to my original post in this thread and I thought I would start a new thread. I'm 55 years old and I've had atrial fibrillation for a year. I've undergone two cardioversions, and the last one lasted for about 10 weeks. For the past 10 weeks, I've been in atrial fibrillation all the time

Omeprazole
Greetings all, my first post here after recently discovering this excellent resource. A question about omeprazole please. I have been on a typical taper from 15mg prednisolone for PMR since July of last year. Twice failed to stay at 4mg and reverted to 5, but after 3 months on mainly 5 had a crippling

Advice, please!
Over the past four months I’ve had a very painful knee. I have a doctor’s appointment next week. I suspect it is osteoarthritis (I’m 68). I’m also aware that other joints, particularly my shoulders, are also aching, especially when I get up in the mornings. I am taking 60 mg Lixiana, 1.25 mg Bisoprolol
