Could it be reflex or rebound tachycardia? Is your blood pressure decreasing so low or a change In blood volume that the heart beats faster in an attempt to raise it? I had reflex tachycardia (waking in middle of night) due to my diltiazem but was in sinus rhythm (doctor had me wear a holter monitor to confirm). It's completely different from when I get a flutter episode.

Had 3 bpm rises to about. 78 bppm so small blips could be the 1.25. Bisoprolol wareing off as I take mine early morning as I get up doesn't last all day

Yes I get it most nights. My sleeping heart rate is around 50bpm then it suddenly spikes at around 3am at 80bpm, for a minute or so. I always assumed it was due to a dream. Then it immediately returns back to 50. PS I am totally unaware of this, it's recorded on my Fitbit.

Snap I think it's the medication so I am trying to narrow it down as I have seen it could be blood pressure but not sure as its only just started keep in touch

does that sometimes when I go to the loo and come back to bed, but it settles. Yes I check if it’s irregular and think phew it’s not!!

My thought would be to ask your doctor if the 2.5 mg bisoprolol tablet would be appropriate. Over the years, with various conditions, I have taken from 0.5 to 15 mg of bisoprolol, my conclusion is that as the bisoprolol dose increases so the resting heart rate decreases in proportion.

The problem with my very low doses was a heart rate of less than 40 BPM.

My consultant said that a doctor's prescription of digoxin wasn't doing me any good. But that's just my 'Case'.

Forgot to say have horrible ectopic and multiple beats on 2.5 mg and above bisoprolol also the same on verapamil so for me and the cardio its playing with meds just to get the best for the time being as off to see consultant about ablation at the moment me the combination is the best combo of a bad hand

I wish you all the best. I find the consultants continue to amaze me with their knowledge.
