Side Effects or Arrhythmia?
How do you discern what is a side effect of a new med vs a side effect of arrhythmia? I feel absolutely terrible. I feel like I am 100 years old, am fatigued, feel super lethargic, and short of breath with exertion. My legs ache. I can't sleep. I feel super, super worn down and just physically unwell

Elevated liver enzymes but no cause?
Hello, just wondering if anybody else has elevated liver enzymes but no cause found? ALT and AST have been raised for months but doctors can’t find a cause. I’ve had SO many tests, scans etc, and everything is normal? Yet they keep coming back raised. I take 1.25mg bisoprolol but doctors are certain

Everything taste awful - like vinegar!
I was prescribed 6 drugs in March following a silent heart attack. They were the usual - Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Ramipril, Atovastatin, Bisoprolol, and Lansoprazole. Five weeks ago food and drink began to taste awful - sour or vinegarish. I can't bear to eat any dairy, fruit or meat. I can eat vegetables

Changed from atenolol to bisoprolol
Hi! I saw my consultant nurse on Tuesday who said my recent ziopatch showed more ectopic beats and episodes of VT. I was on 50mg of atenolol once a day for 10 years, had no issues but did feel it maybe wasn’t quite working as well lately. So she has switched me to bisoprolol 2.5mg twice a day. I’ve had

no stent-tortuos artery
Hi all who replied. I did have angiogram, apparently the LAD is 65-70%, then another part 74%, BUT it is what they call a tortuous artery, really curved and twisted, looked like a country lane on the angio, with corners! So apparently difficult to stent and made the decision not to and treat with meds

Bisoprolol and flecainide
having been given these two tablets for svt while awaiting ablation I was wondering if anyone knew whether this dose was rather high - Flecainide 50mg and Bisoprolol 2.5 mg both twice a day. Have had to change meds after 40years as Disopyramide unavailable. Also was taken off propranolol - it does work

Unusual prescription?
Hoping this is the right forum... Hi all, I'm 73 with no weight, diabetes or BP ailments. A CT scan at a Targeted Lung Check last year revealed mild emphysema and "coronary artery calcification". The ensuing ECG indicated heart block (LAFB). Following an ultrasound last Thursday, I was prescribed these

Which medicine is messing with my thyroid med uptake
Might anyone be able to suggest which of my other meds has affected my thyroid med uptake (100mcg thyroxine and 2x5mcg t3)? I was prescribed digoxin, furosemide and bisoprolol after having open heart surgery 3 mths ago to resolve some anatomical defects. Uptil that point thyroid levels were stable

Can I take an extra Bisoprolol
Hi all, I’m having loads of ectopic beats since yesterday and it’s really worrying me, a month ago I reduced my Bisoprolol to 1.25, I’m wondering if it would be okay to take another 1.25 today to try to calm these ectopics. Pulse rate is staying stable and not flying too high. My OH is away so I feel

Increased episodes of AF
I have had paroxysmal AF for about 5 years. For several years I only had an episode every 6 months or so and was prescribed 1.25 of Bisoprolol just once a day and 5mg of Apixaban twice a day. 18 months ago the AF episodes got a little more frequent, my GP upped my Bisoprolol to 1.25 twice a day, no

Ejection Fraction
Hello I saw the cardiologist this week who told me my EF is 15% and would not improve. I thought that the Entresto Dapaglifozin Bisoprolol and Eplerenone (unable to tolerate Spironolactone) as recommended by NICE were meant to help EF. Please advise? kind regards

Fitbit premium and heart rate information? Atrial Flutter.
I was diagnosed with Atrial Flutter 2 years ago after a n A&E visit when I felt really ill suddenly. Heart rate at 140 for several hours.I was put on Rivaroxaban and Bisoprolol and a subsequent Echo showed no problems. The Bisoprolol left me totally without energy and as my heart rate wasn’t too
