Rise in PSA
Hello everyone, I am 72 and have been on active surveillance for prostate cancer since I was diagnosed in August 2021 but probably had it prior to my first MRI in 2020. I have had 2 biopsies and 5 MRI's and countless PSA tests. The first bx showed 3 cores at 3+3 and 2 cores suspicious, confirmatory bx

Hypersensitive Pneumonitis Due to Construction Dust
Hi everyone, I’ve just received a diagnosis after a crazy past 3 days. I have a new housing estate being built in the field adjacent to my house. The work has been ongoing for a couple of years but started at the furthest end. Last autumn as the work became viewable from our home I noticed I was suffering

Why taking anti-inflammatories including Pred could lead to a stomach ulcer
Dr Mark Porter who is a working GP writes most weeks in The Times. The link to today's article is below because he mentions steroids as well. I hope it opens. If it doesn't I can cut a paste the parts of interest. https://www.thetimes.com/article/184977ba-beb6-4db5-ad10-62e8fbb57add?shareToken=caa43823ee68fa182865e92faa5502b2

BMB ordeal
Maybe things are different in the UK but when my hematologist wanted to do the bmb in office I refused -having had prior experience with biopsies I knew the pain would be more than I could deal with Once I refused the inoffice procedure it was no problem scheduling me in the hospital with sedation

Eye symptoms
Has any one been told they have early onset macular degeneration? Also weak retina? I was given a Amsler grid last eye test/scan and told to go straight to A & E if lines go curved. I have had a bad cellulitis infection in 2021 which I had a cyst also, antibiotics and drops eventually sorted this.

Seeking advice about starting my Ovarian Cancer journey
I have not had a
biopsy
yet but all signs indicate OC. I am a 62 years old woman who most likely has ovarian cancer. I went to my primary care physician for what I thought were gastrointestinal issues. Occasional abdominal pain.

IBS or something more?
Hi, this is my first post on here, and I'm just wondering if anyone can calm my anxiety and mind...For the past 4 years, I've had what I can only call unusual symptoms...bloating, passing a lot of blood from my back passage (clots included and the amount I'd pass during a heavy period), a lot of mucus

The Tumour has been prioritised, and treatment for my original CCL was put on hold, until the result of the
biopsy
, and a decision on what, if anything can be done in relation to this Tumour, which is in an awkward location in my neck.

Progress report
Not much fun and the
biopsy
was uncomfortable. Then yesterday and Mr ENT for my intermittent voice loss, that was a treat, a telescope up my nose and down my throat. However, just a minimal thickening in my vocal chords but pronounced healthy.

TAPUR study
If having a
biopsy
, tissue the more robust. https://old-prod.asco.org/research-data/tapur-study Expensive protocol for non US citizens.🤨 Fortunately Australia has a similar but smaller scale, MoST program. Australia has highest cancer rate in the world but one of the best survival rates.

POST 6 CAR-T cell therapy
My expectation attending Clinic in August was to receive the results of my bone marrow
biopsy
and to check that I was still tolerating Acalabrutinib, perhaps with a view to another BM in a few months time.

when micronutrients are deficient aka co-factors will the continuation of B12 IM self-inject really help me?
I’m considered seronegative CeD however I’m
biopsy
positive and genetically positive. Back to my question: My GI ordered micronutrient testing to discover I’m deficient in many B12 co factors assuming due to malabsorption.
