I’m curious, I have a small spot inside my prostate and had a needle biopsy. They took 17 cores! Poked 17 holes in my prostate for a tiny spot. Does this seem like overkill to you guys??? It does to me. By the way, I was in extreme pain after for a few days. Thanks you guys and god bless! 🙏

I did receive a letter from the consultant with the biopsy results of the endo that they took out and I am so confused by the wording… ”the biopsy has come back as normal.

Would anyone that has had a prostate biopsy care to share their experience? It seems this procedure is often advised but I found the following from a patient online: A 12 or 18 core blind biopsy, holy prostate!

Where can you get a liquid blood biopsy? WHY would you get one? Is it covered by insurance? Could I get one after RP and SBRT? How different/sensitive is it to PCa? Curious mind wandering. Thanks!

Thought about getting second opinion on biopsy but didn’t. Now I’m rethinking the second opinion of biopsy. My decipher score is 0.37. Low risk. It seems odd that my decipher score is low, clinical stage T1c and my biopsy being unfavorable intermediate risk.

Hi, does anyone know which consultant/clinic could do an ERA/EMMA/Alice and NK uterine biopsy at the same time? Is there any other type of uterine biopsy in addition to these? Also could hysteroscopy be done at the same time?

If other screening tools such as PSA, DRE, and perhaps MRI indicate suspicions for PCa, instead of using biopsy, why not employ PSMA to determine if a biopsy is even necessary?

After a year on active surveillance following an initial biopsy that showed intermediate favorable level of pc, a more recent biopsy showed all samples to be Gleason 6 (3+3). My urologist is very supportive of continuing with active surveillance.

Hi Had a biopsy at 5.5 days of managed cycle that showed I was pre receptive so my WOI is displaced. My clinic say it would be best to do another biopsy at 6.5 days and delay my transfer by another month to do this.

Is there any advantage to a prostate biopsy after initial radiation and 3/4 year of ADT…..? Salvage high dose brachytherapy is being considered and a third prostate biopsy has just been done. What might they be looking for…..placement,grade,Gleason?

My oncologist did a bone marrow biopsy and a CT scan. The results of the CT scan were all normal lymph nodes and the results of the bone marrow biopsy were clear of any disease. I stopped Venetoclax and am Being monitored with a test called clonoseq. I’m excited.

A liver adenoma was an incidental finding during CT scan on one of A&E visits, doctors decided to follow that up with a biopsy.
