Is there any advantage to a prostate biopsy after initial radiation and 3/4 year of ADT…..? Salvage high dose brachytherapy is being considered and a third prostate biopsy has just been done. What might they be looking for…..placement,grade,Gleason?

Hi has anyone had a skin biopsy on their shin/leg for suspected hsp/ Vasculitis?Iv got a biopsy on Wednesday and I'm really worrying and anxious. Is the anesthetic injection sore and what scale, does it go right in to bone? Or is it like when the dentist gives you an injection?

Thought about getting second opinion on biopsy but didn’t. Now I’m rethinking the second opinion of biopsy. My decipher score is 0.37. Low risk. It seems odd that my decipher score is low, clinical stage T1c and my biopsy being unfavorable intermediate risk.

I had a Biopsy, Decipher and PSMA done at Stanford. I want to get a 2nd opinion of the Biopsy.

He is hoping to start me on radiotherapy once he gets the result from my 3rd liver biopsy. I have the attitude to fight this terrible disease and hope that I can overcome this. I read everything on here daily, this is a great help for me.

Hi Had a biopsy at 5.5 days of managed cycle that showed I was pre receptive so my WOI is displaced. My clinic say it would be best to do another biopsy at 6.5 days and delay my transfer by another month to do this.

After a year on active surveillance following an initial biopsy that showed intermediate favorable level of pc, a more recent biopsy showed all samples to be Gleason 6 (3+3). My urologist is very supportive of continuing with active surveillance.

Hi, My liver biopsy results have returned, yesterday a letter was sent to my Hepatologist from his medical secretary but I cannot be told until the letter has been signed and approved by him. Can anyone explain why they aren't telling me anything yet! It's driving me insane.

Last biopsy inconclusive, recent biopsy has come back 3f. Hospital want to remove one side of thyroid. I'm a little hesitant to do this as thyroid function normal, it’s not causing any issues and would prefer yearly scans, biopsies done.

I am in the process of being dx'd with NSCLC and am wondering if anyone else has had a biopsy through their back? This is a distinct possibility for me and I am spooked by it since I fractured my back in multiple places (C3, T8, L4, L5).

Hi I was diagnosed with Polymyositis 2 years ago after a muscle biopsy on my left thigh The area where the muscle biopsy took place is still very painful so much that I can't have any one touch it. Does anyone else have this problem?

My dad was diagnosed this year and we got his biopsy done on Oct 7th for dendritic cell therapy. The doctors took 1gm of tissue and pricked him around 10 times to get the needed material. Since then my dad is having issues in urination.

The last thing I want now is to have another biopsy to gather more samples in that area and delay treatment even further. Duke took 4 months after MRI to do this recent biopsy. What is the protocol for treating a single definitive grade 3 lesion and ASAP?
