Eosinophilic Oesophagitis from ADT ?
Following some recent episodes of choking on fluids, I have had an edoscopy plus tissue biopsies which show eosinophilic oesophagitis. This can be simply described as an inflammatory disorder of the oesophagus due to food based proteins or other substances. I have some very long standing food allergies

If its not one thing, it's another!
I'm now in for an appointment tomorrow for a hysteroscopy and
biopsy
! Depending on the results I may have to make a decision as to which is more important - eye or the nether regions. How come everything is hitting me now 😟

Into the 4th year, updates and next step
I also asked about
biopsy
on the new mets, but was told that it is hard to do
biopsy
on the pelvis area and it has risk to cause fracture, it would be better to wait till he has soft tissue mets then do the
biopsy
.

Genomics
HI all, After a progression 2 years on Arimadex, Ibrance my dear partner has had a liver
biopsy
and we are doing genomics testing, around $3.3k. 500 gene plate? Awaiting results but after a second opinion , (lady Onc, more caring, smart) Fulvescant has been prescribed.

Update on skin issues
Got a phone call to have more biopsies today and went in to dermatology where they took six swabs for bacterial and fungal from different body sites . And 4 punch biopsies from chest, neck chin and cheek. The dermatologist told me they are considering adding Rituxabnab to my ibrutinib but want to rule

Signifficant PSA LEVELS
I'm an 81 year old man who has had an enlarged prostate for several months. PSA tests levels 9.1 and 8.1 (several months apart). My Father died of prostate cancer, which had spread to other parts of his body. Follwing a Digital Anal test, my prostate was reported as "smoothly enlarged and sulcus palpable

Any similar experiences please
Hi, everyone, I haven’t posted for quite some time now, I thought I was maybe getting a year off from being prodded, poked, wired up etc. However, following the recent request to provide a sample for the bowl screening service, I now need colonoscopy for further investigations. Questions for you, please

Uterine Polyp Biopsies
Hi everyone 😁😁 First time posting for me on here. Sorry if it's a bit of a long one. I'm still in the investigation stages of my symptoms. I was told I probably had Endometriosis back in December and had a Laparoscopy today where no Endo was found but biopsies of my uterus lining was taken and what

3 year rollercoaster
I just hit 3 years since my diagnosis of breast cancer invasive ductal carcinoma with lymph node involvement (auxiliary), Stage 3 HER2-, HR+. (Age35) Since then I have completed initial chemotherapy (AC &T), bilateral mastectomy, with reconstruction , 25 rounds of radiation to my left breast. Found out

A kidney
biopsy
is needed to verify. A
biopsy
can not be done until blood pressure goes down. The high BP is probably caused by the kidney failure. Talk about a dog chasing it's tail.

Large lesion on liver - 10cm x 5cm
I am after a bit of advice from anyone that may have been in a similar position to me. I had blood tests done towards the end of last year due to on going acid reflux symptoms. In the last 6 months I have been on the cancer pathway for investigations for throat and stomach, all biopsies came back clear

Terminal ileitis
My colonoscopy found mild inflammation in the TI area which they said looked like Terminal Ileitis. Biopsies were taken but they came back normal. I haven't discussed the results with my consultant yet as I had to give in a stool sample to check the calprotectin level first. It looks like it isn't Crohn's

4K test says H. What now?
I'm curious about what 2nd directed
biopsy
will show. The first one the doctor did get to anomalous tissue that he had analyzed (last year) and said it was pre-cancerous cells. I assume the directed
biopsy
(with a MRI guidance) will take those cells and determine what they've become.

Biopsy Today- Looking for a quick response -Thanks
The same Urologist ordered a
Biopsy
which she described in a message to me as taking 6-8 core samples, she then passed me on to an oncologist. I asked the oncologist why only 6-8 samples in the
biopsy
when most I had read about took 12-24 samples?

They were treating him before the
biopsy
for post infection glomerulonephritis. Not really sure why I’m writing on here but just wondering if anyone is in a similar situation?

Someone finally said the quiet part out loud.
They're visible, TSA patted me down after I went through the scanner and I can't get a flipping
biopsy
. I have a nephrostomy tube coming out of my right kidney. I've been hospitalized 11 times since last December, over half of them for sepsis from an injury I sustained from a surgical procedure.

Biopsy results review tomorrow - suggestions on questions to ask?
My dad found out today that his
biopsy
results are in and he has an appt with the urologist tomorrow at noon to review. Given the MRI report (PIRADS 5, “lit up” lymph node, PSA doubling), we and the doctors suspect it’s cancer. Just waiting for the official
biopsy
to confirm.
