update on biopsy
I have just received my results from temporal
biopsy
which is showing no sign of inflammation which doesn’t really surprise me. I will speak to rheumatologist again in January to see what the next plan of action is. Good news is finally got gp to prescribe h2 blocker instead of ppi.

Constant Worry - It's Me Again
She says the
biopsy
showed fibrosis but not enough to warrant a diagnosis of overt PMF. She says pre-PMF could still be a possible diagnosis but ET is favored. Her treatment recommendations at this point are the same regardless of diagnosis. Now I am worried.

Biopsy Results
Even though I've commented on other posts, this is my first. In July I coughed up blood, saw the GP who organised a chest x-ray. The GP called me an hour after the x-ray to tell me I had a 6cm shadow on my right lung and it could be cancer. After meeting a respiratory consultant, I had CT scan, PET scan

Because I have never had a successful
biopsy
for previous tumours/lesions, and they do not think they can get one because of close proximity to blood vessel on this one...there is no tissue to test.

Who else has Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) in addition to their PCa?
Described as bone marrow cancers and a bone marrow
biopsy
is required for dx. It morphs into Acute Myloid Leukemia in 30-40% of the cases. Know that my shit is weak and am searching for info just like I did when I joined here after my PCa dx.

Insurance company refusing to pay out saying my Lymphoma is related to my CLL
After much consideration, and subsequent growth of the legion, I was eventually able to undergo a
biopsy
safely. After some debate with the MDT, the believe it to be a low grade lymphoma.

Prostate Biopsy
I have had several biopsies both with and without general anesthesia. With general anesthesia they were a breeze no problems at all. My last one on Friday was hell. Not the procedure I woke up feeling great until It was time to urinate. Only a couple drops of urine and blood and then the intense pain

Possible Hemochromatosis?
Been under investigation but Hepatologist due to constant high GGT and ferritin.. but they can't find anything wrong apart from mild siderosis and fatty liver disease from a liver
biopsy
in 2019. Should I ask them if they would do a full iron panel?

Covid concerns
Recent elevated WBC counts led me to the hematologists office for more blood work and a bone marrow
biopsy
. Original dx was presumed to be marginal zone lymphoma, but at my appt this week the oncologist said that it is CLL. I have a CT scan for staging at the end of the month.

why? Is this normal?
Open surgery. 12 weeks later a nurse said your
biopsy
has just come back, you don’t have cancer but we want to do chemo on you to mop up any floating cancer cells that may or may not be there. A bile stent would not come out.

They are talking about photodynamic therapy, but they have to do a
biopsy
first. I also just had my first CT scan post surgery and now have 3 new nodules in my right lower lobe. Too small to
biopsy
yet.

So, my doctor has scheduled a bone marrow
biopsy
to do further testing. If that too comes back negative, I will be able to go off treatment. I started my diagnosis at stage 4, in Summer of 2021 and immediately began combination therapy of Calquence plus .

FDA Approves 18F-rhPSMA-7.3 to Identify Prostate Cancer in PET Imaging
Hopefully, smarter folks than me can explain the significance of this development. May 30, 2023 18F-rhPSMA-7.3 injection is now available to help identify PSMA-positive lesions during PET imaging for patients with metastatic or recurrent prostate cancer. The FDA has approved 18F-rhPSMA-7.3 injection
