Marginal zone lymphoma
I was with every team available, pet scan took place, guided lung biopsies etc, attempted kidney
biopsy
. I refused steroids as I listen to my gut instinct, but was started on mycophenolate.

Another update….high platelets….
Since being on iron tablets my platelets have come down to 484, the lowest whilst all of this has been going on… My Haemo is no longer interested in carrying out a bone marrow
biopsy
unless, in her words, “your platelets ever go above 650 and remain so”.

Implantation Issues
We have now been advised to go back to 5.5 days progesterone ( this worries me as my last
biopsy
suggested 7 days) and to try Granocyte injections. I’m so nervous to try again. Has anyone been through this or have any advice? Thank you 😊

Simulation
The valium helped with my procedure last week-I wish I had taken some before the
biopsy
. Will I need to take something before the simulation, or is it pain free?

A plea from your brother
During the first few weeks after an MRI and
biopsy
confirmed what I feared, most of what I heard sounded like spoken English, but for me, it required more than Google Translate could offer. Amidst this cacophony, Malecare emerged as a source of stability and compassion.

IVF postponed
Everything has been stopped/postponed until
biopsy
results are back and management is sorted. I feel like jumped through so many hoops to get to this point and now I'm devastated that it's all come to a hold. Everyone keeps reminding me it's on pause but not stopped.

PSA suppression
The old 4.0 PSA cut-off for
biopsy
takes into account the fact that BPH is common in screened populations. Take away BPH noise and a significantly lower cut-off must be used.

Highly elevated ESR and CRP but no symptoms of a flare
I am awaiting the results of the
biopsy
she took. My GP has referred me to Infectious Disease who are doing further bloods/MRI and follow up. Nothing has been found yet. In the interim I was sent to A&E when my ESR was above 120, lots of blood tests but nothing found.

has anyone had a biopsy on endometrium without being out to sleep?
hi my doctor told me to come in to his office and he would take a sample of my endometrium whilst awake. Apparently it’s normal but I’m terrified of the pain. Has anyone done it?

Lobectomy for bronchiectasis
From September 2022 I've had so much treatment (IV and oral antibiotics, x-rays, CT scans, PET scan, EBUS procedure, lung
biopsy
and then finally surgery). A full history of my journey is on my profile.

Thin with NAFLD - treatment successes?
I was diagnosed with NAFLD through blood tests and
biopsy
in 2021. A result of low enzyme production from not having a pancreas, bile duct or gallbladder (whipple surgery for pancreatic tumor). I’m 56 yrs old, 5’7” and 120 lbs. I have always exercised and eaten healthy.

4K test says H. What now?
I'm curious about what 2nd directed
biopsy
will show. The first one the doctor did get to anomalous tissue that he had analyzed (last year) and said it was pre-cancerous cells. I assume the directed
biopsy
(with a MRI guidance) will take those cells and determine what they've become.

Biopsy Today- Looking for a quick response -Thanks
The same Urologist ordered a
Biopsy
which she described in a message to me as taking 6-8 core samples, she then passed me on to an oncologist. I asked the oncologist why only 6-8 samples in the
biopsy
when most I had read about took 12-24 samples?

Father with Stage 4 prostate cancer in 8 bones.
The surgeon said his hip had a lot of cancer in it and they were able to get a good
biopsy
. The first drug worked for about 7 months before his PSA started rising. During this time my dad continued to lose weight and became more and more frail.

If its not one thing, it's another!
I'm now in for an appointment tomorrow for a hysteroscopy and
biopsy
! Depending on the results I may have to make a decision as to which is more important - eye or the nether regions. How come everything is hitting me now 😟
