Short Story: The Long and Lonely Nights
Here we go again. Another long night of tossing and turning. I can’t sleep. The soft glow of the fairy lights on my headboard calms me as I stare at them. My comforter is big, fluffy, and warm. My legs wrapped between a pillow and I feel the cool breeze of the fan on my skin. My body is calm and at peace

HELP with getting sleep!
HELP! My DH isn't sleeping well at all. He's tried Natrol 10mg Melatonin and it wasn't that great. I then got Natrol Melatonin Advance Sleep 10mg Melatonin (it's a 2 layer time release to help fall asleep quickly, then the inner layer helps you sleep through the night), sounded good, but it was worse

Hello I am new here
Hello I am new here. I am a 58 year old divorced female, living in the Northern VA area. I wrote a lengthy introduction in the Kidney Community hub. I just found out I have CKD last Friday. My GFR was 68 in June 2019 and it dropped to 55, two weeks ago. I had no idea I had kidney disease in June

The hypnagogic state. Update to visual weirdness.
I have written a couple of posts on 'visual weirdness', I would like to post another update in case someone else is experiencing the same symptoms. I have PCS after a bang to the back of the head in an RTA. I have a very strong visual element to my condition. I have had optometry treatment, coloured

Hot flushes and night sweats
Hi all, I’m 35 and have very low AMH. I had an ICSI cycle cancelled before egg collection earlier this year because I didn’t respond to the medications. We’re having a break until the new year when we’re hoping to go for a private cycle, but recently I’ve been having hot flushes and night sweats. I

New Member to CKD Community with treatment question
Hello, My name is Mari, and I have been lurking here for a few days, and I am ready to jump in with a question. My GFR was 68 in June 2019, in 4 months it has dropped to 55. I just selected a new PCP in June 2019, and we started with a complete physical with bloodwork. I am a bit disappointed that

I'm literally tired of insomnia.
My insomnia started the night of Sept. 4th...... out of nowhere. I'm 38 and have always been the kind of person who fell asleep immediately and slept for a full 8 hours. I do have anxiety but my life is better than it has been in almost 12 years. I've tried melatonin, no phone, hot bath, being active

Tuesday was four months of being a non smoker
Tuesday October 1st, was four months of being a non smoker. Hoping this virus is gone as I have slept really good the last two nights. The cough is finally gone. The melatonin has worked wonders on helping me sleep or my body is healing. I actually had a hour and a half nap yesterday. I haven't been

If it rains it pours!
Well after using the melatonin and getting to sleep a little better. I have now caught this virus that's going around. The sinus drip down the back of your throat so you cough your head off all night long. According to my doctors office you have to let it take its course. Sleep sitting up they say and

Are supplements worth it?
So cycle 1 I got 18 eggs on long protocol. 16 mature, 13 of which fertilised (good fertilisation rate) but only 3 made it to day 5. I was only taking folic acid first round and developed OHSS. I finally got to fet which failed with a 1x4AB. I was and still am devastated. I have high amh 45.2 at age 38

Pain, melatonin, and Raynaud's
My husband and I took a low dose melatonin last night, 3 mgs. It helped me sleep and stay pain free all day long. Taking antihistamine has only worsened Raynaud's syndrome., so I quit in favor of trying melatonin. I was free of pain all day. and slept the night.

Melatonin use ?
Several months back I read about some of you guys using large doses of Melatonin, I believe in the 30-50 mg dosage. Are there still some of you using this and getting positive results in lowering PSA along with the normal treatment protocol in fighting APC?

Sleep
I know how important sleep is, but more often than not, I only sleep 2-3 hours. My Doc is reluctant to give me a prescription for Ambien. I already take Zoloft and Buspar. I have tried melatonin but it does not help. Does anyone have suggestions for an over the counter drug I can try?

My first post
I don’t know how my experiences compare to to those of other people and that thought makes me wonder if it’s insignificant in the big picture. I was able to journal a lot of what I’m feeling tonight and I felt the need to reach out for validation and perspective. If anyone cares to read and reply, I

Another sleepless night
Here I go again. I have retreated to the couch in the den, waiting for the melatonin pill to kick in. I have asked my Dr for a prescription sleeping pill, but he is reluctant. I mentioned why I retreat to the den in a reply to another post on here. I don’t want my spouse to suffer lack of sleep because

This journey is so tough...
Starting cycle 2 25th September and I'm terrified of failure again. It's costing so much which is added stress. I'm so scared it'll fail again. I'm literally on every supplement under the sun... My ova, inofolic, dhea, high strength vitamin D and c, folic acid, pregnacare, coq10, omega 3. Due to start
