What are the most needed supplements to take for PD?
My mom is on high dose B1 and we are actually starting to see improvements. She also takes D3, Coq10, magnesiums, vitamin c, collagen, b12, melatonin, probiotic and d manose. Is there anything that should be added or that she takes that isn’t necessary? What are your top supplements for PD?

I think i wrote on here a while back about this festive period and the massive amount of temptations with booze etc. I needed worry not as i seem to have handled things a lot better than i thought and although tempted a few times i didn't falter. Just New Year to get out of the way now and i'll be fine

Melatonin, a Full Service Anti-Cancer Agent: Inhibition of Initiation, Progression and Metastasis
I posted this in advanced prostate cancer - but I think it is valuable enough to bring here also: This is well worth reading. It's rather dense and while non-conclusive on the mechanisms at work - the results are what's interesting. A common "supplement" Melatonin has been found to have multiple cancer

Melatonin - something I haven't seen discussed here, but it should be..

IL-8, The Inflammatory Mediator That Is 220% + Higher In PWP Cerebrospinal Fluid Than In Control Subjects And Possible Ways To Deal With It
In a recent reply post to forum member Parkie13 (Mary) I was discussing the chemokine Interleukin-8 (IL-8) and its relationship to PD and Multiple Sclerosis(MS) which I had only recently read about myself. The conversation got going because the post was discussing the possibility that MS may be caused

2nd neurologist’s treatment advice.
Today I visited my new neurologist. Recommendations: Melatonin for sleep. C/L, 25/100mg, instant release, 4 times daily. Low dose more frequently best approach. Avoid high dose controlled release except at bedtime. Expressed surprise, after tests, how well I am. She is open to learning more about B1-

Suggestions for help for insomnia?
These days, as long as I get 9-12 hours of sleep, the rest of the day I’m quite energetic! For that, I am deeply thankful. But... I will sometimes lie in bed for 4 or 5 hours before falling asleep... which usually leaves me waking around 2-3pm. I just feel like if I could fall asleep faster, I could

Adrenal cortisol & DHEA results
I recently did another saliva test to see if my cortisol/DHEA is affecting my insomnia. I feel so much better during the day, since starting Low dose Naltrexone (LDN), but would like to fix my chronic insomnia. My cortisol levels seem to have decreased slightly since my last text approx 19 months ago

Sun downing/melatonin
Does anyone here have sun downing? My husband kept rampaging every night and acting crazy most nights, some worse than others. Finally, I woke up one morning about 2 weeks ago to find him missing. All the doors open, pictures torn off the wall and the glass dining table top laying on the rug. I finally

Broad Spectrum Micronutrients & Vyvanse
Hello, My 15 year old son is currently on 30mg Vyvanse. I've read on here about the Broad Spectrum Micronutrients helps. He is about to embark on his year 10 exams, and is currently doing his Bronze mediallion for Surf Life saving. I've heard he is struggling a little as there is a night time course

Melatonin & Hashimoto's
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone is able to shed any light on whether or not it is OK to take melatonin when you have hashimoto's. I have recently started taking melatonin for endometriosis and it's helped considerably with the pain, it's also a recommended supplement for fertility and since

Sleeping Meds
Are there any sleeping medications that don't increase RLS symptoms? I have tried CBD and Melatonin but neither have helped. Over the counter meds and Amitriptyline made the RLS unbearable . I am taking Lyrica and Tramadol atm but they don't help with the sleeping thing. Many thanks in advance

Getting Off Melatonin
Hi, all. So I'm trying to get off melatonin right now because I never actually had insomnia before I started taking it. Confession: the real reason I started taking it in college was because I thought I was Timothy Leary or something and wanted to trip on it. Now, however, I'm trying to get off of it
