For 19 months since diagnosis I've suffered with ongoing flares of painful thyroiditis including neck pain, struggling and painful swallowing, chest pain flu like symptoms & throat mucus etc. My Endo has arranged a barium swallow and I've got this Thursday - within a week which is excellent on the NHS

T3 availability on NHS in Sheffield update
I've seen my Endo at Hallamshire Hospital today who informed me that in addition to towns in South Yorkshire the NHS is now "red lighting" Sheffield so no one will be able to get T3 at all on the NHS in this region. He also commented how many of his patients are struggling sourcing T3. I was dreading

In the words of my physio, I put my pelvis "out" 2 weeks ago by attempting to lift a heavy pot in the garden (at the exact second I realised I couldn't lift this pot I felt something go "pop". Ouch). Anyhoo, strapped up, kept working, went to Pilates - but no running ... Until last night! Went for a

I am 29 y.o female, over the past few days I have gone through hell. I had a breast augmentation, and I started taking Valium and Oxycodon for my pain and anxiety. I cut cold turkey. Maybe i should start it again - just my stools were green (sorry for the detail). Am now on the maximum dose of mycophenolate

Iron supplement advice
Hi all, I have low ferritin which I have supplemented using a sachet of spatone a day and brought up from 13 to 26 with the range of 23-300. It is the only vitamin/mineral that's crucial for thyroid function that I'm low in and as I'm still having issues I'd like to try to raise it higher. However, I

Doing things different today
Yesterday I stayed sedated. My pic line then the Cath. Today I'm staying away from my sedation of Valium to see how my new med is working. The doc put me on tikosyn. I will be getting my fourth dose shortly. As of right now I'm not feeling well. I'm a little dizzy, have a headache and a bit of chest

How's your sleep? Could magnesium help you?
HI Everyone. Sleep is one of THE key aspects to our wellbeing. If our sleep is out this can knock out hormones, make us crave more sugar, result in lack lustre complexion and generally just make us feel dull. In order to thrive, we need to be well rested so we can digest the emotions of the day as well

My bloods came back and she diagnosed me with iron deficiency anaemia and folic acid deficiency. She said my thyroid was fine despite my free T3 being borderline (she

Need to say this about anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds.
There are many people who die from respiratory distress from taking these medications. Such as Celexa, Lexapro, Prozac, or Xanax, Klonopin, Valium., etc. They do suppress our breathing guys!! My husband and I ran across this while researching COPD. I fully realize the benefit one might have from

Best method of 'detoxing'?
I use Epsom salts in hot baths and drink lots of water, I also have an Everlast 'slimming' belt that helps me sweat. Anyone have a method that doesn't break the bank but gets the best results of helping our bodies shed the bad stuff in our systems?
