Pelvis injury ... Gone!

In the words of my physio, I put my pelvis "out" 2 weeks ago by attempting to lift a heavy pot in the garden (at the exact second I realised I couldn't lift this pot I felt something go "pop". Ouch).

Anyhoo, strapped up, kept working, went to Pilates - but no running ... Until last night! Went for a little 3k jogette and all seems to be good there, no pain at all while running but a little stiff this morning (I can cope with that!)

However, I just wanted to tell you about what I did last Friday which I am sure had a massive impact on my recovery time - I went to a floatation tank! I spent an hour floating in half a tonne of Epsom salts, in the dark, and it was amazing. When I got out I realised that I could put my pants and trousers on without being in agony!!

Now, administrators, don't worry I am not affiliated to this place but I just wanted to share with others who may like to experience this as a brilliant way to rehab injuries, soothe joints, achy backs, etc. It's something you probably hadn't thought of before.

I live in Herts so .... you do the googling!

Ooo! Sounds fab - quite fancy that myself! Thanks for posting and great news that it's helped. In your rehab!🙂

That does sound astounding. I always think it would make me a bit panicky 😱

Don't worry - you have total control over the "door" of the float pod, the lighting etc. You could leave the door wide open and lights on if you wanted, but the de-stressing effect wouldn't be so good. In the beginning I thought I was going to get really bored, just floating there in the dark with only my thoughts for company but by the end I was drifting in and out of sleep and I resented the lights fading up (they come back on gradually over about 10 minutes).
