Week 4 reconquered
Having been out for almost 4 weeks, stopping due to
injury
at Week 5 run 3, I started
back
on week 3 last week. Did one run and it felt good so proceeded straight to week 4.

Back again after a two week injury lay-off. Don't worry guys, injury doesn't need to mean losing your hard won fitness!
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/242338180 I have blogged this before and I will say it again...don't dare let an
injury
be an excuse to flump
back
down on the couch, no matter how far into the programme you are!

Ugh.
Starting
back
on Monday after a week-long break due to
injury
, I thought running would be easy to get
back
into - I'd only rested for 8 days, right? Wrong. I decided to do a W3 pod cast again, just to get back in the rhythm, and then move on to week four.

A cautionary tale of crash and burn!
After two weeks of rest, I have hopefully put my
injury
behind me and am going
back
to week 4 which is, on reflection, where I think I started to make mistakes. I will do this ... I WILL!!!!!

APS positive since 2008 & SLE & Discoid Lupus. In DIscoid Flare now. Still no treatment 4 Hughes - most debilitating of all. Am I alone ?
Things seemed to improve by will power but exhaustion would put me in bed & I had chronic pain from the
back
injury
. GP told my family it was all in my mind & Husband left me after being together for over 27 years. Alone & helpless I tried to kill myself.

New shoes! Just in time for week 5 run 3 eek!
But I decided my clunky old trainers were likely to cause an
injury
and am conscious I don't want to bring
back
the plantar fasciitis I had a few months ago - so now I have some splendidly light and supportive running shoes.

And there were fireworks..!
Decided to start
back
at Week 3, I was on Week 5 when
injury
struck. It was easier than I thought - yes my ankle hurt a bit but not too bad and the doctor said I should run through the pain.

W1R1 finally achieved
Today must have been about my 6th attempt at W1R1 since my first attempt
back
at the beginning of September. I have suffered one
injury
after another and never managed to complete a whole session, but that just served to make me more determined.

Re SHEETS FEELING PAINFUL ON LEGS.
I give a reply to some on who was having problems with sheets being painful on legs, I am sorry I forgot who it was that I was writing to. Just that one of the remides for this would be a leg cage that they use in hospital. It takes the weight of the sheets off the legs. Have a word with your GP,

Week 6, Run 1 - success
I think if I wasn't writing this blog and this wasn't such a fantastic community, I would have given up after my
injury
and Monday's set
back
. My next run is Friday, where I'll attempt W6R2 :-)

Week 4 done, but a bit demoralised.
I've had a hard couple of weeks, mainly due to
injury
and illness. (got a recurring
back
problem and have had colds and whatnot). I've kept going on the plan, but I've added an extra rest day here and there a few times.

Does anyone know if there is any evidence that suggests that a person with Systemic Sclerosis is most likely to have a weakened spine?
I also injured myself again for the 2nd time in 2011 and exacerbated my
back
injury
...... Since this accident my health has been on a downward spiral and I have been faced with the decision to retire from work.... Please can anyone help???

Gearing up for Week 7
Newbie on this site but have made it to Week 7 after one restart due to
injury
back
in July. 'Almost' completed Wk 6 R3 yesterday. Was running in full sun (I usually run before the sun is up) and boy is it hard to run with the sun beating down on you - stopped at 23 minute mark.

Back to it after injury
Hi this is my first time blogging! So after badly spraining my ankle in between W6R2 and 3 I finally got back to it almost 5 weeks later :( Wasn't sure how the foot would hold up as although I could walk normally, after being on my feet all day at work it still ached. So I strapped it up and did a W3

Hard slog......... but making progress
Well getting
back
in the swing of things after my ankle
injury
. Went
back
to week 1 a week ago, Today just done week 4 which went okay. Would love ankle to be completely pain free, but its not. I suppose I need to be patient, and let it heel without rushing it.

Return after injury
I've had a 2 month "break" due to a foot
injury
but now I'm
back
and raring to go. I got to week 7 last time and was a bit obsessed both with the running and this site!! I loved the buzz so much I stupidly ignored the pain in my foot.

Cocaine....
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience as to why Cocaine use would help relieve COPD symptoms and allow more physical exercise and better breathing when doing so...? i was able to function sexually and use the stairs when walking around, things i could only dream of doing before.
