Do exacerbations follow exacerbations?
I've now been to doctor and on 5 days of prednisone and a week of
antibiotics
. Before my time in hospital, I'd never even been on an inhaler! I'm now worried that every time I get a cold it's going to become an emergency...

Very fast onset of Pneumonia! It’s a long story; are you comfortable…
sepsis) Got to Resus and the medical staff immediately filled him with
antibiotics
, fluids and just about everything else I think! Turns out it was pneumococcal pneumonia. He came home a couple of days ago with doctors orders to rest for 6 weeks.

Unusual swelling with lymphodeema
This time it was treated with
antibiotics
& the pain eased swiftly & returned when the
antibiotics
stopped too soon. Scans were done after several weeks &
antibiotics
long finished & showed no current cellulitis or signs of, but I've been on prophylactic
antibiotics
since.

CRT-D Complications
I have had the device taken out and am currently on IV
antibiotics
for 2 weeks. After this time they will insert a new CRT-D on the right hand side. They have however said that as I had an infection first time round I am at high risk for it happening again.

Long time PRD sufferer.
Was treated in hospital with longterm IV
antibiotics
. Within the past few years I've been having fistulas recurring quite often and putting me back in hospital. Various other problems throughout my life. ( I could write a book lol). October last year I finally got diagnosed with PRD.

Reducing steroids after illness
When I first had the acute urinary infection I doubled up from 5mgs of Prednisolone to 10 and my CRP was 270, it was 70 last week and I was told to continue doubling until I had finished the
antibiotics
which I did today.

Risk is infection/cellulitis, which would be treated with
antibiotics
. Does not seem worthy of the risk. Anyone had any experience with this shortcut? Thank you, and bless you all.

Elbow pain ongoing
Had a CT scan and there could possibly be an infection but no
antibiotics
and can't go back on RA meds either. I have to go for a nuclear medicine scan to see what and where the exact problem is.

CRT-D update
On Thursday I will have my implant removed and remain on IV
antibiotics
for a further 2 weeks and then they will try to implant on the right hand side. Gutted to say the very least.

UPDATE
I’m now on oral
antibiotics
and carbosteine so I’m really hoping I can go home now and just wait for this appointment which probably will be a while, in the meantime here’s hoping we all stay infection free . Thanks everyone.

Scared and lost
That made me take a good look at myself and admit I was drinking too much; binge drinking at parties, wine with dinner, wine at the weekend for decades… I also mixed very strong
antibiotics
when I had TB (!) with drinks and took Prozac and alcohol for a long time.

chronic gastritis diagnosis
I had h-pylori which I finally got rid of after three lots of
antibiotics
last year. In June this year found out I have mild chronic gastritis after a endoscopy.
