A sixteen minute gentle run yesterday. Easy, from the front door, on the streets, all a bit dull and samey, but good to be out and about and actually moving my body.
Sore today and coughing like a good-un, but some simple stretching and also a little standing dumbbell workout with BodyFit By Amy on You Tube. Also final confirmation that I do in fact have a little case of atypical pneumonia and so after six weeks of coughing I'm on antibiotics.
In theory I'm due to run again tomorrow, but we'll see how I feel in the morning: I'm trying to maintain some semblance of fitness and also running to drive my system to promote better health. But, as always I'll be guided by coughing, pain and general health. I'm just aware that the end of the week involves three shows in a row, so I want the start of the week to involve some fitness work!
I'm hoping to be better next week and I know that I'll be quieter work-wise, so if I don't run and start up my fitness training again, it'll be down to being a lazy git and not lingering lung-knack...
Stay fit, folks!

Well done... and on that little workout too, ( you know how I love Bodyfit with Amy).
Just take care... and yes, I know over worry for folk.... but if you are on antibiotics, they are fighting the infection... your body needs to let them do that.
For me, gentle exercise, walks and fitness, but simple workouts would be what would do... but as you say. you will listen to your body and take notice.
It is frustrating but, as I always do say...those runs wait. A good job for me as I have not run for over a week!
Really sorry you’ve been under the weather. It’s such good news that you’re on the right antibiotics now. Hopefully they’ll work quickly. I can totally understand being frustrated and feeling like you’re losing fitness. Pushing on could slow your recovery and have a worse effect on your fitness than resting while you’re unwell. There’s a good article here…
