Inflammatory Arthritis - My Diagnosis?
From what I can see Inflammatory Arthritis is an umbrella term, and can cover several diseases, so I'm non the wiser really. My Rheumatologist came to this diagnosis after my ultrasound highlighted inflammation in both my hands and wrists. She also said I have some ana in my blood, but could not sure

End of Week 6
I had such a frantic week last week so didn't have a weigh in. On getting on the scales this morning I have lost 1lb in 2 weeks... not great is it? I've had such a hard time in the last couple of weeks including getting a cold, root canal and excruciating tooth ache plus coping with bad news about loved

PMR & Fatigue
Hi all, I've had PMR since last December and been on Pred for about 5 or 6 months now. Started off on 15mg and have been on 9mg for past 8/9 weeks. I still have some pain in neck, arms, backs of legs but nowhere near what it was before and I'm not overly concerned about it. BUT the last few weeks I've

I feel as though I'm overheating!
I just wondered if anyone else finds this? Obviously the weather is warmer but it still happens to a lesser degree on cooler days. When I go out I am drenched in sweat. My scalp and back of neck are drenched. And my face visibly clammy. It's really embarrassing as it looks awful! I never used

Racing heart/pulse
Hey everyone Been for my pre op today and got told again my heart and pulse is racing. Apparently it needs to be under 90 and mine was 120 which she said is extremely high. I do feel like my hearts beating out my chest some days. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about and everyone has said it's probably

Advice for my husband
My husband has gone through the last 8 years with nerve damage to his right leg due to an L5 S1 discectomy. He is currently on Tramadol and Amitriptyline. He has good days and bad days. He has also very recently been diagnosed with mild proctitus (inflammation of the rectum). He was given some tablets

Horribly sore sex?
Hi everyone. So roughly about 6 months sex started to really hurt and I got terribly sore, mainly around the entrance and just inside. (It's not a deep pain- although I do experience that sometimes as I suffer from endometriosis and polycystic ovaries. I've been with my current boyfriend for a year now

Where to from here?
Morning All Found this site this morning and could not believe how many of us are out there with the same problem or issues, or whatever the medical profession calls it these days. Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, rather than circumstances we often believe is the case. I had

Where to from here ?
As someone who has previously proffered advice, on this occasion I need some from you guys. I have longstanding acute pain issues, spanning the last 11 years. Following two serious car accidents, the pain across my limbs increased significantly over time and I went from the maximum doses of Tramadol

My consultant has taken me off warfarin.
All my blood tests have been negative and he cannot understand why i was put on them. I am being tested every 4 weeks so he can keep an eye on me. He has also prescribed me Amitriptyline to help with headaches. I am quite concerned as they are antidepressants and I don't want to go back to using them
