Persistent pelvic pain & next to no support. Does anyone know of any support groups or services, please?
Hi - I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis last April, and have experienced ongoing pelvic pain since I caught covid in September 2022. Next two paragraphs are just venting, request for resources is in the last paragraph if you want to skip it. I have vaginal pain, bladder pain, and stabbing pain

My gut churns when I wake up in the middle of the night.
Does anyone else have this issue? I'm sure it's stress-related. Amitriptyline worked for a while but then it stopped working. I often can't fall back asleep when I wake up at 3 or 4 AM.

13 year old boy, pain around/just above belly button, struggling to get any diagnosis or find anything that helps.
My son has had pain around, or just above his belly button since end Nov. It went away for 2 weeks, and has since been bad again for another 3, preventing him attending school. Eating doesn't seem to affect it, and he is going to the toilet normally. We have tried
buscopan
(didn't seem to make

Neuropathy treatment with POTS/postural hypotension?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has tried any treatments for neuropathic pain that have worked without causing autonomic issues? The common options like pregabalin and amitriptyline apparently often affect autonomic function and I have postural hypotension so was wondering if anyone has tried any

Hello, community. I live in the UK and I have lupus, Raynaud's and Erythromelalgia. My feet are often painful during the day, too, with the same set of symptoms, which

Flare with normal blood inflammation levels ?
Hello everyone, Just after some advice please. I began my PMR journey last February albeit unknowing what my condition was then, initially unable to get a correct diagnosis I was first prescribed Nefopam and Amitriptyline which had no effect to my symptoms, the Amitriptyline actually made me worse.

Fed up and so exhausted 😩
I am beyond done with my pain condition. I am not sleeping well so constantly exhausted. Add to that my pain meds hardly even work anymore. I know that I have " better" days but they are becoming fewer. Its hard to feel anything other than despair at the moment 😪. If I ring the pain management team

Amitriptyline - ATLANTIS clinical trial
Can anyone explain to me why money has been spent on a clinical trial for amitriptyline in relation to IBS, when this has been prescribed for IBS and specifically IBS pain for years already?: https://www.theibsnetwork.org/blog/irritable-bowel-syndrome-relieved-by-low-dose-amitriptyline/ When investigating

I’m interested in hearing from anyone who has been able to make any progress with this condition I have foraminal stenosis and disc osteophyte complex at c5-c6. My main issue is terrible stiffness and some pain around my neck itself. This has been going for about 18 months now. I know many others

scalp tenderness
I reduced my pred from 4mg to 3mg on 26th December. I am suffering from scalp tenderness and slight pain at the bottom of my skull. It does seem to ease slightly after taking 10mg amitriptyline. I have not received my next appointment with rheumatologist. Just wondering if I need to speak to my GP

Update - Not Polymyalgia?
Update - First had Polymyalgia 2018 tapered off successfully 2020 CRP10 ESR 26. Diagnosed again July 2023 CRP4 ESR 26. Symptoms completely different (all neck, shoulders, arms) Put back on 20mg steroids. I wasn’t convinced on 2nd diagnosis so GP agreed I should taper off. Began taper, had blood tests
