Bleeding on the mirena coil
Looking for some advice before I ring the GP tomorrow. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in may 2017 after suffering pain and other symptoms for many years. In 2019 I had a pain flare which lasted 6 months before I was started on amitriptyline and was given the Mirena coil to help my pain. I've had

Heart Failure
A short background: I had a Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve repair 18 months ago. I made a good recovery however at the 6 month follow up I was told that the repair wasn’t 100% and I still had a slight leak. Since last September I’ve been getting more breathless again so I saw GP who did tests and then

Antidepressants
I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia. Can someone recommend an antidepressant that won’t affect my restless legs but will help with the chronic fatigue/pain and could you say whether this is a sedating antidepressant or an energizing antidepressant. They want to put me on amitriptyline

nortriptyline - treat IBS, functional heartburn and depression?
Hi, Could some please enlighten me on the affects of taking nortriptyline? I’ve read that it’s not effective in treating pains. However, I need help with functional heartburn associated with anxiety and depression. Has anyone experienced or is experiencing FH? What has been or is your current treatment

Hi, I am suffering with a unbearably painful torn Meniscus and knee nerve damage. Although I’m taking Napraxon, Tramadol, Paracetamol daily and 3 x Amitriptyline for night times and none of those hit my pain? What more can I do?

Bulky uterus/ibs/amitriptyline
I recently had a ct scan which has shown nothing abnormal except my 4cm ovarian cyst and uterus and rectum appear bulky. The only symptoms I have is an unreliable digestive system IBS? and pain in my right side. Consultant suggested colonoscopy, which I don't want or feel I need. I'm thinking bulky

It hurts to do anything, I keep having to take Co-Codamol, Codeine, Naproxen, now I'm on Amitriptyline but NOTHING is helping. I'm struggling to walk without severe pain in my right side, it

Amitriptyline 10mg has anyone tried this antidepressant?
Hello has anyone prescribed Amitriptyline antidepressant for sleep? Am just having trouble switching off my brain from past 4 months. Getting very less sleep 1 or two hrs. Gp prescribed Amitriptyline 10mg leaflet gives you a long list of possible effects. Currently no sleeping remedies are helping.

Should I be concerned about flashes of white light in my eye?

IBS Diagnosis - Correct? Stress related?
Hi all, I am 30 and my doctor thinks I have IBS. For the past 3 weeks or so I've had this dull ache/pain in bottom left stomach and back pain, both of which come and go, with the occasional loose stool. Blood test and bowel cancer tests both negative. Anything else I should be tested for before I accept

Covid Vaccine, medical conditions and allergies
I was just wondering whether anyone has taken any of the vaccines? Although I work within a hospital setting where some of my colleagues have already received it, had been sent a text by my GP stating I should book and appointment and now furloughed, I really do not wish to take it due to my allergies

A Different Perspective
Having been seen privately by an eminent rheumatologist.......a leading authority in the field of PMR/GCA, since my diagnosis in May 2019, I decided to change to NHS care, as weirdly there is much more support available in between appointments when you're under the NHS than as a private patient! I had
