IBS Diagnosis - Correct? Stress related?

Hi all, I am 30 and my doctor thinks I have IBS. For the past 3 weeks or so I've had this dull ache/pain in bottom left stomach and back pain, both of which come and go, with the occasional loose stool. Blood test and bowel cancer tests both negative. Anything else I should be tested for before I accept IBS as a definite?

I have not been able to move quickly or do any exercise apart from gentle walks for a month now [I feel like an old man as I can't put any pressure on my stomach]. I have done the FODMAP diet previously, as I had a bad stomach as a result of long-Covid for 3 months, but no food issues came up. I'm wondering if this IBS could be stress related and not food related [I have never had food issues before] as my father is quite ill at the moment, so perhaps this has triggered it? If so, any advice? I'm trying to relax and do mindfulness etc. but any other advice appreciated. The doctor has currently given me Amitriptyline, but I'm not sure how much it is helping aside from making me bloated and a bit drowsy.

Thank you.

Here are the tests that need to be conducted - normally stool sample and blood tests:

Stress is a trigger, can make symptoms worse. Also food ingredients that are not well tolerated can make it worse.
