Sleep Issues
I have been on Pred for PMR for over 9 years now and one of the first nasty side effects I got was sleeplessness. Eventually, I was put on Amitriptyline (35 mgs) which helped a lot and I settled in to having to get up twice a night most of the time. For the last couple of years, however, this seems to

Sickness and prednisilone/amitriptyline
I am currently on 10mg pred daily which I take around 2am with some yoghurt. Haven't had any problems with my stomach since starting them nine months ago and I take esomaprazole daily too. I have trouble sleeping and GP recently prescribed Amitriptyline which I take at 7.15pm because otherwise I can't

Apologies for the long post. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and best wishes for a happy & healthy New Year head. Has anyone undertaken a three week residential pain management course in Bath? Am I right in thinking that it is primarily physio and psychology based and is there any medication input

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas! This is my first post to the forum and I'm sorry it's quite a long one. I'm hoping that someone can advise me about a change of medication. I've had RLS since a teenager (now in my 50s). I augmented on Pramipexole about 5 years ago and went through hell to stop. I tried

AF, Warfarin, and Tramadol
Hiya guys and gals, I posted on here a while back about shoulder pain, sleepless nights et al. Many, many of you gave me some great insights for which I am grateful. I think the general consenus supported my GP's view that this pain wasn't so much AC joint related but tendon/rotator cuff related. I

Long story ahead! It’s been a few weeks of ‘things’. In early November hubby complained his head was sore, which can mean all sorts since his stroke and not always being able to explain very well. Two days later he had a cluster of little blisters by his eye - shingles. A course of Aciclovar stopped

Slow Transit pain and possible Nortriptyline success
So I have bitten the bullet and now taking low dose Nortriptyline as recommended by my Gastro to help with the pain and spasms I get with my colonic inertia (slow transit) that effects the left section of my colon. I had been putting this med off for months because of fear and I'm not one who likes to
