Nebivolol

I have started taking this for my AF but I am concerned that there may be a problem as I take a very small dose of Amitriptyline for restless legs at night . I wonder what might be the best time to take the Nebivolol ?

Many thanks

Best wishes to all

Suggest you consult with your Pharmacist. What do the instructions on the packet say?

What did your doctor tell you to do? We are not medically trained so shouldn't advise frankly. If you think there may be conflict between drugs then your doctor or phamacists should be able to tell you.

Best to ask your pharmacists advice. They know the mist about drug interactions.

I take 2.5 mg Nebivolol at breakfast along with most of my other heart meds. (I have been on 10mg in the past. 7.5, 5 and 1.25 whilst we tried to find my optimum dose.) I take 30mg Amatriptilyne about an hour before I go to bed. It was originally prescribed for pain but, IMO, does nothing for the pain but does help me to get a reasonable night’s sleep. However, as others on here have said, it would be best for you to check with either your GP or pharmacist.

Thankyou !I was thinking of doing the same.

I have just started the Nebivolol and wondering what the side effects are going to be. I don’t tolerate the Amitriptilene very well, so I wanted to juggle them around if need be to lessen any more side- effects.

On the instructions it just says ‘once a day’.... so I’ll do the morning for my heart meds and see how it goes.

Best wishes !!

They can cause lower limb swelling. I took them for years until this finally happened and then switched to a Beta Blocker. Everyone is different.
