Cambridge Nutrascience IBS Advanced Formula
Just wondering if anyone on this forum has tried this with any success? I'm sceptical of a lot of the 'natural' remedies I've read about but really want to avoid any 'heavy meds' that seem to be prescribed for IBS symptoms. I'm keen to focus on something which may help longer term to treat the root cause

I have been on Sertraline several years for anxiety and depression; however my gp has now suggested Amitriptyline instead as concerned I have been on Sertraline for too long! She said it would be fine to mix both for 2 weeks until I see her next but I have dreadful side effects at mo, dizziness, confusion

Anyone elses bones absolutely ache??
One of my recurring pains at the moment has been aching bones. It feels like the centre of all my bones (mostly arms, fingers and legs) has this deep rooted numbing pain and I'm at such a loss with it. Someone with fibromyalgia has noticed a few things about how I am and thinks I have fibro as well

Advice on steroid use
I saw rheumatologist on Wednesday who was not my usual one. He told me all my pain i.e. head, shoulders, hips was due to taking steroids and having a build up of inflammation. I have to reduce prednisolone by 1mg every month. He gave me amitriptyline for the pain 10mg which I have taken last 2 nights

Heart attacks associated with amitriptyline?
I had a heart attack and stent fitted December last year. On the usual meds, i. e. Aspirin, clopidogrel, statins, beta blockers, BP tablets. I thought I had trigeminal neuralgia for years on and off until I saw a neurologist last week but he said he suspects my condition is hemicrania continua, very

Pain after surgery
Hello all, I’ve recently had my laparoscopy at the beginning of March 2022, I’ve been diagnosed with widespread endometriosis. I’ve been in agony again and went to A&E at the end of March, the pain I was experiencing was the usually pain felt before the surgery. The keyhole insertions healed completely

Morning arrhythmia for a few hours
I had a second ablation for AF and flutter in May 2021 which was deemed a success. After the first six months things settled and did not record any more AF on my Kardia. Was on Flecainide then. I have low bp, am 65 and am currently taking only Bisoprolol 1.25mg on waking. I have chronic nausea since

Hello everyone, I have just been given a prescription for nerve pain by my GP to help with a painful hip caused by my lumbar vertebral fractures. I also currently have lower back pain, left rib and shoulder pain, most likely caused by overdoing the exercise. I haven't been taking the pills for long but

Sciatica appointment
Just been to see doctor re my sciatica. I did ask if she thought it could be piriformis syndrome but she didn’t think so. I have been prescribed amitrptyline (I think that is how you spell it) and cocodamol. I can’t see there are any interactions with the amitriptyline and prednisolone. Any thoughts

Issues only on right side
Hi everyone, my GP is suggesting I might have fibromyalgia. However I only seem to have issues on the right side of my body. Headaches, tinnitus, back spasms and pain, spasms in my hip,. I also suffer with brain fog and fatigue as well as tingling in both hands. Is this unusual? Should be properly tested
