I had a heart attack and stent fitted December last year. On the usual meds, i. e. Aspirin, clopidogrel, statins, beta blockers, BP tablets.
I thought I had trigeminal neuralgia for years on and off until I saw a neurologist last week but he said he suspects my condition is hemicrania continua, very similar to TN.
My question is, does anyone have any experience of this condition and what meds did they take? The reason I am asking is that he and the GP seem to think amitriptyline on a low dose to start with would be ok to take, but I am concerned that the meds could cause problems with arrhythmia.

Hi, I also had a attack last year, October time. They have put me on: ticagrelor, lansoprazole, bisoprolol, asprin, ramipril, atorvastatin. I was on amitriptyline but that was for a headaches issues I had developed before my heart attack. I think the heart issue was playing with my blood flow. I have since come off amitriptyline as my head aches have gone. Thanks.
I had amitriptyline for nerve pain some years ago and it caused an episode of atrial fibrillation. I now avoid it like the plague, which is sad as it's good for nerve pain.
