Flare ups, COVID & medication changes
Mostly just a rant for me to get stuff off my chest - feel free to skip haha. A few weeks ago, I came down with COVID, for the second time this year. This time round was worse I found, I was out of breath and exhausted for longer, stopped all my hobbies, and completely lost my appetite. It's been a few

How long do b vitamins take to work
Hi guys I hope you can give me some hope. I’ve had bilateral paresthesias in my feet and lower legs for a good year now and 2 months ago I realised that b 12 deficiency is a strong possibility. ( I’ve had loads of other treatment previously from chiropractor, physio and doing lots of core strengthening

Since December of last year when I suffered with ear problems, migraines and high blood pressure I have tried 3 different meds with awful side effects and no help whatsoever. I've had 2 mri's, 2 hearing tests, 2 eye tests, numerous blood tests and an ecg. I've also paid a vast amount of money to be

Hi, sorry to ask this as it might be a silly question, does anybody take vitamins D3 and K2 together and in liposomal form?
I’ve been taking these in this form, and a multi-vitamin also in liposomal form for just over a month now, and I feel so much better able to cope as my pain is eased, most days it’s tolerable with pregabalin, amitriptyline plus tramadol and now not so many paracetamols. I actually forgot to take these

Olive Leaf Extract?
Just heard about this extract and the benefits to FM sufferers. I take high blood pressure tablets plus 10mg Amitriptyline per day. Most of my issues relate to my legs - (shooting pains and throbbing and pulled / strained muscles. Anyone got any feedback / advice on taking Olive Leaf Extract?

Help for my 12 year old daughter
Hi, desperately in need of some help. I’m on here because my 12 year old daughter has had constant pelvic pain since the beginning of January. She hasn’t had a pain free day since then, and is at absolute breaking point saying the pain is the worst it’s ever been and she’s struggling to cope. She describes

Help with diagnosing gut issues that suddenly started 18 months ago - Related to sub-optimal B12?
Hi - this is a repost from IBS Network community. I saw posts on here that lower than optimal B12 could be the cause of my gut issues, which dont' seem to be IBD/IBS as calprotectin is low. Any advice - let me know! I'm new to this community and hoping to get some guidance on my gut issues. The heaviness

Sleep difficulties
Hi, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 1983 and secondary fibromyalgia about 15 years later. I was taking Amitriptyline - 30mgs - 100 mgs. However GP insisted that I reduce dosage to 30mgs, which I did. However since then I have had problems getting off to sleep. I tried zopiclone as advised

Sleep and fibromyalgia
Hi, I am a fibromyalgia sufferer. For years I took various amounts of amitriptyline from 10mgs to 100mgs. The later working brilliantly until my GP insisted that I reduce the dosage to 30mgs. This I did and have suffered for it since. So I decided to change to Gabapentin. I started on 100mgs 3 x day

What should I do now?
I honestly don't know what to do anymore... I won't go over everything in detail but basically I started with stomach pain (lower centre) just over a year ago. The pain is there all the time and does not come and go. I also noticed I was more constipated than usual and had frequent bleeding. I had

Amitriptyline withdrawals
It is a long time since I have written a post here, mainly because I have been struggling with all sorts of problems! To re cap - I have had PMR for 10 years since I was 52, and basically never got below 10 mgs Pred. Many many flares trying to reduce. I have OA and have had 2 new hips and 2 new knees

Inhibition issues
Good morning- First time poster here, although I have lurked from afar. I was hit by a car in 2020 and knocked out. Poor treatment at hospital meant misdiagnosis and raging PCS for 9 months leading to being off work - and still taking Amitriptyline for migraines at night. Anyway, my question is

Still waiting for the magic to happen!
I’ve been on Amitriptyline (Anxiety/depression) for 4 months now. Started on 75mg then upped to 100mg and now 150mg for the last 4 weeks. The side effects have been horrendous but I’ve kept with them. Has anyone else had a similar experience to me and will things get better!

pain sensitisation, linking it to my adhd
I wanted to share my latest discovery about my ADHD. I’m blown away that I am learning more about myself since the age of 50, than ever before. I wanted to share this so that it could help any of you that could be having some of the same problems. So in my last post a couple of months ago I was feeling

Peripheral neuropathy
I've had excruciating PN from my feet to my mid thighs for eight years (occasionally onto my tummy if very bad), started five years after underactive thyroid diagnosis (I take 100mcg levothyroxine daily), and has progressed from feet only upwards. Occasional pain on hands, wrists. I take 20mg amitriptyline
