Recently had a number of blood tests. One test which has been upper end of low for about 4 years is alkaline phosphatase. Normal range, 46-116 U/L. My results were 2016: 39; 2017: 29; 2018: 32; 2019: 40. I've never had any of the tooth or bone abnormalities generally associated with hypophosphatasia, as far as I'm aware. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a connection between hypophosphatasia & PA. Below are some additional abnormal test results, copied from a previous post I made on a low iron thread:
...began injections in June, ferritin was 41ng/ml, normal 10.5-307. Six months later after about 50 injections, now 25. Hematocrit, hemoglobin, RBC all had been low but "normal" prior to treatment, now all below normal, with MC volume up (had been elevated but again top end of "normal"). All seem consistent with PA. Now taking 65 mg ferrous sulfate 1/day, plan to do this for awhile & retest.
Thanks for any insights.

Thank you for the reply. I haven't spoken to the doc about the results yet, but plan to. I did have a folate test just prior to starting B12 injections (6/3/19); the test normal was >=5.9 ng/ml, the results that day were 18.3. Interestingly, a test in 2016 was just 6.6, pretty low. I'll suggest a followup test, also one for zinc, which I don't think has ever been checked. I have test results showing elevated MCV going back to 2013, well before I considered PA. Red cell count & hemoglobin were also low at that time. Let me know if you have any further thoughts, and thanks for the input.
