We don’t need
contraception
. Just wondering do we still need to use condoms. What are the consequences if we don’t?

Contraception as a 'treatment
I've read a lot of conflicting information, as the GP is telling me that
contraception
is the only treatment for endo and that i need to give it more time, but i've read a lot about
contraception
merely being a bandaid for the problem and that there is no scientific evidence that it slows the growth

My GP recommended going on hormonal
contraception
(Mirena coil). I was wondering if any women have any experience of this or insight as to how one condition might affect the other?

What contraception with endo
I am about to turn 25 next month and I’m no where near ready for children but I would love to not be on any
contraception
so I could give my body a break from all the hormones but I am terrified as to what this would mean for my endometriosis?

Can progesterone-only contraception make endometriosis worse?
I feel like my symptoms have got worse since my laparoscopy and excision last April, but have been trying progesterone only
contraception
since then, which seems to make my endo loads worse.

weird dienogest side effects
I don’t want to be on hormonal
contraception
as none seem to agree with me but I don’t know what other options there are. I didn’t get any symptoms really of endo so was surprised to be diagnosed

agony pain in pelvis
Hello so I have stage 4 endometriosis and only had one surgery to remove a cyst in April 2023, I have since been referred to a different gynaecologist to see what they can do as no
contraception
is working (I have tried 5 different ones this year) but none of them are working as I’m constantly bleeding

After birth fertility
Hi, ive just recently had a baby and the midwives have said that you are most fertile after giving birth and to think about
contraception
. Does anyone know if the ‘most fertile’ window is the same for someone who has PCOS? Thank you

Apps for tracking endo pain
Hi, does anyone know of any apps that I can use to track when my symptoms are and what the symptoms are as I am struggling with period tracking apps as I don't have periods due to
contraception
but still have bad flare ups that I need to manage?

Hormonal medication
After the surgery, they suggested I went on
contraception
to stop it growing back - since my mum has had breast cancer twice, my options are quite limited, and every time I’ve been on hormonal medicine in the past I’ve reacted quite badly, so I decided to wait.

Advice please - Just been prescribed 10mg carbimazole
I also wondered whether having been
contraception
for the last 15 years and only recently coming off it for these hormone tests for early menopause may have effected the results as well. Anyways would be grateful to hear your thoughts ☺️ thank you

Bowel Endometriosis ?
I of course had the typical period problems too before being put on
contraception
which stopped them completely...Anyway, the letter I received after my Lap stated 'Two small areas of cystic Endometriosis in the pouch of douglas underneath both utero-sacral ligaments.

endo experiences
I’ve now completely come off oral
contraception
, and am still in pain, but it seems to be subsiding. I’ve been advised that the Mirena coil could be a good option for me to try, but am slightly nervous considering my history!

Advice on Zoladex?
One of my main concerns is that I don’t take hormonal
contraception
due to how low it makes me feel and all of the physical side effects, so partly I feel like is that worth it for only 6 months or should I be looking at it like “it’s only 6 months” I’m just so confused and completely torn on whether

Advice/Experiences needed
In december i decided to take matters into my own hands and come off my
contraception
which was the mirena coil, to see if certain symptoms were masked/made worse by it. Since December i have experienced new symptoms which i am unsure if they suggest endo.

Try Mirena again or hysterectomy
My NHS consultant has advised trying the coil again (I’ve tried it 3 times in the past for
contraception
and absolutely hated it - found it uncomfortable after a month and felt strange in myself). I saw a private consultant, who recommended a full hysterectomy.

1st consultation with endo specialist- confused feelings
They also suggested progesterone only pill may be better than copper coil does anyone have experience with this
contraception
? Has anyone else been told this? That lower back pain isn’t associated with endo and if not is this more common with any other gynae conditions?

Pain around ovulation again & management options
I’m really not happy with this option since I experienced postpartum psychosis after both of my children, and since have been reluctant to risk any hormonal
contraception
for the fear of relapsing.
