I recently got diagnosed with endo when I had a laparoscopy for removal of an ovarian cyst. I started Dienogest in July annd about 10 days after I started getting vision problems. I’ve been to A&E/my GP/emergency eye clinic twice and my eye itself is ok. My GP and the ophthalmologist recommend I stop the Dienogest and then review when I see the gynae at my next appointment in a couple of weeks.
Has anyone had any weird side effects like this? I’m concerned the Dienogest has increased my blood pressure as my vision gets worse with exercise. I don’t want to be on hormonal contraception as none seem to agree with me but I don’t know what other options there are. I didn’t get any symptoms really of endo so was surprised to be diagnosed

A lack of estrogen leads to dry eyes and hearing problems. My hearing was so bad in peri menopause that I got hearing aids. You are probably suffering from this xxx
Oh dear, sorry to hear this. I have been on dieno for 3 months and had headaches, daily bleeding (more than spotting, less than heavy period) and cystic acne in pubic area as main side effects. Bleeding continues daily but no eye related symptoms. Hope you are able to resolve it...
I stopped it on Wednesday as advised and my eye problems seem to be improving. I have had a lot of spotting since I started taking it but it stopped yesterday. Since I stopped taking it I’ve had bad headaches. Can’t seem to find any info about how long it takes to leave the system etc.
