Suspected endo - any advice?
Hey guys, Hope you are all keeping well. I've just had a consultation with a gynaecologist yesterday regarding some fibroids they found last year through an ultrasound. She was really lovely and empathetic, said she has similar issues herself and like me, didn't't get on too well with cerazette, which

A little help?
I’ve got endometriosis and I’m on pills for it. I don’t really know if this is making my mental health worse or I guess its just the normal amount I get? I don’t really know who to talk to about it since none of my friends have this condition nor they are on the pill for it. I don’t really feel comfortable

Prevention is better than cure
Vaccine distribution is going well. However, until there is stronger evidence it will control the outbreak there is no harm in reminding ourselves the only way to be sure is to limit contact with others. The government's slogan "behave as if you have the virus" should be "behave as if everyone you

Appointment - coil/pills
Hi guys, I’ve got my second gynae telephone appointment this evening. I know they’re going to want me to have the coil but I’m really reluctant to for a couple of reasons. 1. Even having a speculum for smear is very painful so I’m terrified insertion will be excruciating and 2. I’ve heard you can have

Menopause and the pill
Hi All. I’ve got a quick question. I’m 49 and taking the pill (I use it to mask symptoms of endometriosis) but am thinking of stopping it. I just wondered how I would know if I am nearing the menopause whilst taking it still. My GP practice nurse said I would just know (and that I would just know

Progesterone only pill?
I had the depo injection and found it really didn’t go well with my body (it was awful for me) just like all the other forms of
contraception
I’ve tried. The hospital have advised my last option is ‘progesterone only pill’. I wanted to hear other people’s experience with this?

Splitting T3 and storing them?
I've been using a pill cutter to split my 25mcg tiromel. I split up quite a few tablets at once and have been storing them in the pill cutter itself just so that they are ready to take when needed. I have only been on T3 for almost 4 weeks but not feeling much benefit at all. The only difference is that

Withdrawal bleed on the pill
So I've been on the pill for 7 years now after an accidental pregnancy which has made me incredibly paranoid. I take the pill religiously. I've been having my usual withdrawal bleeds, normal flow etc etc. But any small symptom during the month and I fear I'm pregnant even straight after my bleed. Would

Struggling with pain
I was diagnosed with endometriosis and was diagnosed after the lap. Before I was diagnosed I spent years trying to manage pain and reduce bleeding using oral contraceptives. I’ve been on cerazette for about a year now and it’s definitely reduced bleeding but I’m still suffering from severe cramps throughout

My pelvic pain story: still on the journey to a diagnosis and feeling discouraged
I am 30 years old and I’ve been experiencing severe pelvic pain almost since I began menstruating 17 years ago. Prescription NSAIDs, first doled out to me some time in my mid-teens, have outlasted more than one romantic relationship and several friendships as a constant presence in my life. By 19, mefenamic

Has anyone else struggled with diagnosis? Help!
Hi I’m hoping someone on here can help me please! I’ve always struggled with my periods and visited the doctors countless times since the beginning of high school (I’m 19 in full time work now). I feel like I always got fobbed off and told it was normal and have been given different contraceptive pills

Never ending period
So I didn’t have a period for a few months then a three week bleed in December and now another one in January/ Feb lasting almost the same. I have had transamic acid for 4 days. It barely stopped the bleeding. My only bet is birth control but my body hates it my body acts out a lot and will take it for

Next step?
Hi all, I have endo, have never been told a stage. I have had two laps, one in 2016 by general gynae and one Feb 2020 at BCGE Centre. I have quite a complicated medical history. I was initially on cerazette (this stopped my bleeds) but had to stop it in late 2017 as they believed it could be aggravating

Natural cycles with endo
I was just wondering if anyone has come of
contraception
or whether this had helped in away for some people. Before I got the coil my pain was mostly around the time of my periods with them being really painful and really heavy but now while I no longer have a period I am in pain everyday.
