Friendship struggles
One complaining about her
contraception
(having 2 kids), I didn’t know how to react. I think one issue is I’ve lost some capacity for empathy with these things, and am also so easily triggered. I’ve tried backing off but then I feel lonely, so it’s hard to find a balance.

I just don’t know how much more I can take
My surgeon says he wants to go back to combined
contraception
but as I get migraines with aura my GP said no and I just don’t know what I can do. I don’t feel like this is any semblance of a life. I’m miserable and im constantly in pain. Today I’m just feeling hopeless.

Will a gynaecologist likely do a diagnostic surgery on me with my symptoms, or try and fob me off with some other treatment plan, such as hormonal
contraception
? I don't want to go years with uncertain pain management, especially when it comes to painful sex.

Control endometriosis with diet?
But, they did say I need to be on some form of
contraception
ie pills or the Mirena coil to suppress the growth of endometriosis. Having never used anything to control my hormones before, I thought I would try the pills rather than go for the morena coul.

If so, there are many personal and health reasons I don’t currently want to go on
contraception
, so will the next steps be a lap for treatment? Any advice or info would be so greatly received!! Thanks in advance 😊

hysteroscopy for endo diagnosis?
hi all, I came off the pill in 2020, just sick of all the years of chemicals and frankly with my sex life,
contraception
is like building a damn in the desert - utterly pointless.

Contraceptive pill interfering with thyroid meds?
(Most recent bloods in comments are after 9 days off
contraception
- seems like my t3 is already dropping? I felt absolutely awful so restarted the contraceptive again) I appreciate this is very niche but grateful for any insight or thoughts or research papers?

Double-dose progesterone to control symptoms?
Additionally, while the antidepressant is working wonders, depression is a side-effect of hormonal
contraception
. I’ve had depression on and off since I started my periods, and have almost always been on hormonal contraceptives for pregnancy-protection, bar when I got my two children.

Dienogest
My gynae dr moved me from Cerelle
contraception
to Dienogest as that apparently prevents the growth of endometriosis… I had my laparoscopy surgery in Nov 2021 which confirmed what I said all my life as a young girl to a grown adult- I have endometriosis.

Spotting, bloating and weight gain
However I am growing concerned as to what's going on as I know my body well and since giving up
contraception
after having children (youngest is 16 month's) my periods were average every 7 weeks, now they have been 10-11 weeks the past few months after the spotting started, bloating every now and then

support in raising concerns with GP
Every appointment I attend, I am greeted with you need to take
contraception
, and you need to lose weight. My diet and activity levels are not bad, but I struggle to lose more than 5lbs, but again, the GP does not appear bothered with this.

Help with PCOS inositol supplements (trying to conceive!)
It got to a point where I talked with my partner and we decided to use only condoms for
contraception
. I knew because of PCOS I was going to struggle to get pregnant so we start trying when I was 25.
