Serum ferritin level 17 ug/L [30.0 - 300.0]

Because your haemoglobin, MCV and MCH are all in range, there doesn't seem to be any suggestion of iron deficiency anaemia. However, you can have iron deficiency without anaemia so ask your GP to do an iron panel, see what your Serum Iron level is like. Definitely something is wrong and needs investigating.

As for folate, eat lots of folate rich foods and consider a good quality B Complex such as Thorne Basic B or Igennus Super B. Don't supplement with folate alone, you need to keep all the B vitamins in balance.

ferritin is prob low due to heavy bleeding with fibroids, been referred for a scan

Berocca is a pretty naff supplement. It contains cyanocobalamin and folic acid whereas it's better to have the bioavailable forms methylcobalamin and methylfolate. It also seems to contain calcium which should only be supplemented if tested and found to be deficient. Also, there seems to bean awful lot of unpronounceable unnecessary rubbish. Soya bean oil is listed as well, soya is definitely not recommended for us Hypos. Much better to use a good quality bioavailable one such as I've mentioned above.

Your thyroid results obviously show that you need an increase in dose, can you try and increase very gradually?

i do have a b complex here and b12 so will use them, yes i will slowly increase and hopefully as other levels improve the increases will be easier

i only got the berocca because it was in the pound shop and i thought it was a bargain
